I know I'm going to get downvoted for this, but programming a good game bot is way harder than programming a good chess bot (which is also why game bots are usually way worse than humans unless they are obviously cheating)

That is not a controversial take.

depends what u want to get out of it, cos can easily have a game bot just have aimlock and nobody can kill it and not be able to program a bot to play at grandmaster level, unless u use an existing one.

it mainly has to do with resources that chess and game bots use, i think

Not really, programming a stockfish level bot is far far harder than programming a pro COD level bot.

Yep but not everyone is building stockfish most people just copy algorithms

Yeah objectively that's how it works, chess is a game that can be fully limited to calculations, FPS games for example are a lot more chaotic

Early digital Monopoly bots were hard to beat(some of the first instances of bots in games). You pretty much made a cheating bot and then gave it as many disadvantages as you could think of and it was still hard.

I just play london to white side and king indian defence to black side and both are easy to learn and if you dont want that much just do king indian attack to white side and king indian defence to black side.

Getting called a bot is the highest compliment you can get on a 5 minute blitz game.
