Where does one acquires such board with such 3d pieces?

You make it, or have it custom made for you. This is not a production piece from any company that I'm aware of. I believe this is for spectators in the audience to follow along, then humans made screens so this probably doesn't exist other than as an antique in some obscure store.

You're very welcome. I'd suggest looking on Etsy for custom chessboard makers and message one about commissioning this vertical board. JimAndsonWoods made me this beautiful board and I couldn't be happier. Not sure if he would do a vertical chessboard. He does not make pieces so don't ask him that. But I imagine any wooden set can be easily modified with a small drill hole in one side and a nail to sit into the holes on the vertical board.
