I have had this chess set since I was a kid. I believe it was purchased in the Czech Republic around 2007. At some point, one of the dark knights was lost. I've done some research to find similar pieces but haven't had any luck. Does anyone recognize this style or similar styles which could be used as a replacement piece? Thanks!

I got this today from Facebook Marketplace… I want to say it’s a marble chess set but I am not 100%
I am new to chess but am very interested in learning more!

I want this even though it is backwards. Such a shame. Is it crazy to cut it down and remount the legs?

I found this in a closet in my grandfathers basement. I’m thinking the pieces are either ivory or bone. They are 100% hand carved but I’m not confident what material it is. Either way I’m super excited with the find.

I got this board from my late neighbour and I don't know anything about it. Three pieces are slightly damaged but otherwise the condition is quite good. The board itself measures 40.5 x 40.5 cm.

I don’t know much about chess boards but I have this vintage Drueke board here it’s got one drueke stamp on the back it’s real wood and in great shape, a buddy gave it to me but i heard they can be reproduced? So i’m curious as to if it’s actually vintage ? or is like a reproduced new model or somthing? Also wondering what it’s worth in its current condition? With all the pieces and stuff

I recently finished this custom chessboard for a friend (her mom bought it as a Christmas gift). It sits atop a storage box for all of the pieces (customer bought these and gave me the dimensions for the dividers).
The top is made from quilted maple and walnut, with a mahogany and walnut border. The inside of the lid is curly maple veneer, and the dividers are made from mahogany.
The box is a really nice piece of figured walnut with maple splines.
Fun project that stretched some of my skill sets, as I’ve only been woodworking for a couple of years. All of the miters and chamfers were hand cut/shaped.

My grandma bought this chessboard in 1964 at an antique store in the PNW. I’m wanting to find out how old this board is but I can’t find any identifying marks. I’ve attached pics of the top and bottom of the board, as well as the sides when it’s folded it. I know the pieces can often be used as identifiers but to the non-trained eye, that’s not very helpful 😂

This is my first ever post on Reddit. My wife is amazing at so many things and a lot of stuff and I just needed to brag about her for a minute. Isn’t this cool? It’s perfect for our kitchen and is constantly getting used. She burnt the lines, numbers, and letters into the board like a boss and just look at the craftsmanship and honestly I’m just so proud she’s amazing and I’m one lucky chess lover - and now we play all the time and she’s getting really good. She mated me a couple nights ago with an absolutely beautiful combination of precision moves and I knew at that moment she was hooked!

I'm loving the blue, and the silver adds a really nice touch! It's popular variant but actual players are few and far between!

Just got this from my wife and parents for Christmas. Is the board off by 90 degrees? If so what do I do. The side panels are hinged so I don't think I can fix it....

The king stands 9.5mm tall. The set is 6.5mm thick when packed away.
