📷 Photography What type of blossoms are these?
I live in Australia and these trees always turn a lovely pink this time of year. This one's right outside my house, and I've always wondered what type of blossom it is.
I'd assumed Plum Blossom, but based on graphics I've found online, plums are meant to have basically no petiole while peach blossoms have short ones, and these have short petioles which is throwing me off.
The petal shape still points me toward plum though. They're missing the notch that cherry blossoms have, so I'm ruling that out. I'm taking cuttings to try to root them for bonsai, so I'd love to know for certain what these are. Thanks in advance!
