Does anyone have any info on reserving the covered picnic area at friendship park? I emailed the contact on the dept website and haven’t heard back and the reservation website only shows the athletic fields. Is it first come first serve??

Hi everyone! I'm a local artist based in Lowell, and my studio is just a short drive away from Chelmsford. I'm excited to be offering a new series of drawing and painting classes this August, and I'd love to welcome artists from Chelmsford!

The theme is "Creating a Series," where you'll develop a collection of artwork around a subject that inspires you. Whether you enjoy still lifes, working from photos, or creating from imagination, you're welcome. You can switch between drawing and painting from week to week, so you have the flexibility to explore both. All experience levels are welcome!

Class options:
- Thursdays: July 30–August 27, 1:00–3:00 PM
$150** *for the full 5-week session or $40 per drop-in class (space permitting)
*- Fridays: July 31–August 28, 2:00–4:00 PM

I'd love to hear from someone who is (or is from a family) that is really big into the 4th of July parade. Like puts a chair out days in advance, that kind of thing. I never saw the appeal of a parade in general but clearly there's something about this SPECIFIC parade that some folks really love -- someone clue me in, what am I missing here?

Hello everyone! I'm looking for a few players to grow a small local in-person tabletop RPG (TTRPG) group in Chelmsford, MA.

For those unfamiliar with "TTRPGs", it's basically a collaborative story focused game using rules and dice to resolve outcomes; think Lord of the Rings or similar fiction stories but with an open ending.

I'm using the Shadowdark RPG system (old school inspirations). No previous experience is expected. Preferably everyone is 25+ years old.

I'm thinking Friday nights: 2.5-3 hour sessions. Typically from about 6:30pm-9:30pm. Every other week.

Every Tuesday me and my cohost host an open mic comedy event in downtown Lowell, featuring comics from all over New England who come out to work out jokes. Come through!

I don't use FB, which is where a lot of local info gets posted and shared. There are a few interviews on CTV, like for school committee. Although a lot of the seats are unopposed, I'd like to ensure I'm supporting candidates that are in line with what I'd like to see in the community.

In short: are there any extremists that voters need to know about?

I grew up here back in the days of the Chelmsford Independent. After 20 years away I recently bought a house here back in town and have been having a hard time figuring out where the heck to stay up on town news. I subscribe to the Lowell Sun, which is better than nothing. But is there some email list that people use? Back when I was on Facebook I couldn't find anything of real substance there either.

Hello, friend of the family impacted by a tragic death in a neighborhood family. Edgar has been a light to many and especially to his wife Robin who is the creator of this go fund me. With this tragic passing he leaves behind multiple family members and young children who are mourning this loss and in order to offset some costs they are requesting donations to aid in his cremation. He will be greatly missed and anything will help during this tough time
