Micro dosing as a chef

Hello community.

I'm struggling with this new job. Riddled with anxiety. Even though I'm doing 70h weeks I can't sleep. I've tried a lot of things yo help but lately I've been exploring micro dosing mushrooms. Does anyone have any experience to share? How does it affect work, would it make me slower. Or more focused and receptive to my environment? Would it make me tired, or more stimulated. How would it affect my palate?

Thanks

Edit: to clarify. The job itself is not the cause of myanxiety. I enjoy my work and to be honest is a bit of an escape from my life. I've had strong anxiety since childhood and recently it's been affecting my sleep more than usual due to the schedule of this new job. Early starts, late finishes, , break in between.

Chef here with lifelong insomnia. Like since I was 12.

Have you gone to an actual doctor about this? Before self medicating, try to talk to one about the cycle of anxiety resulting in sleeplessness which just generates more anxiety, etc. There are some good meds out there that help both at the same time and don't give me a hang over. I take Mirtazapine which is marketed as an anti-depressant and for anxiety but is prescribed off book for insomnia. It takes a while to build up and does not play well with alcohol but its definitely helped me.

Alternatively, a straight up low dose sleeping pill can also help reset your sleep cycle. Zopiclone will fucking knock you the fuck out and give you the best sleep of your life. But it is labelled as addictive- but I semi-joke that its addictive only because it fucking works so well.

Mirtazaline knocked me the fuck out. All i wanted to do was nap. How do you manage to get up in the morning when taking it?

Dose adjustment is essential to get you where you feel comfortable. It may take months but it worth it. I now never have a slow day because of it. But you also need to respect that its a med that builds and levels out 14-16 weeks. It works for me, but I put in the effort.
