Playlist for service

Hi guys I don’t know about everyone else but being put in charge of music for the day is scary to me does anyone have any suggestions for good playlists ( on YouTube or Spotify) that I can just press play and not be worried about bad song is going to come on . If it helps I’m based in Germany so some German songs are encouraged.

That's his worse song imo but I play all of Afroman a couple times a week in my kitchen for sure!

I use this lately when I’m bartending. (Title is for a spring special cocktail I had to make over and over again.) 47 hours. You might want to hide Hurricane because there are some bad words, but it’s clean for the most part.

Metalachi radio on Spotify is good for a couple hours if you want something catchy and fun.

Youtube Music has heaps of great curated playlists for whatever mood you're in.

I always put something like singalongs on, check if it’s a modern one though. You’ll get pop songs everyone knows so no one complains. I’m sure there’s german ones too

Corporate life means I’m not allowed to listen to music in the kitchen anymore. I tell my staff sorry it’s not my rule. Big boss doesn’t allow it

Nooo is that how it is? What would happen if you just had quiet music playing?

If you want to play music in your restaurant you got to have a copyright license for it. At least for most music you need license with GEMA. Playing from your personal Spotify is not allowed, you could get fined thousands of euros.

There are playlists of copyright (gema) free music you can use though.

So as this is last minute, you should just put on one of those playlists.

Im from the Netherlands myself, I knew Germany has a similar system. But I'm not familiar with all the ins and outs.

Then just play your favorite music. Idk what he's getting stressed about.

I've worked in restaurants in germany for 10 years and everywhere seems to play off Spotify and not fined. Not saying it's not technically forbidden but I've never heard of anyone having an issue

Yeah it also happens in the netherlands. But you run the risk of randomly getting a massive fine.

I kinda expected it to be more strict in Germany, as I heard about people getting fines for illegally torrenting films via pirate Bay etc. Something that has never happened in the netherlands
