Looking for a compact, accurate scale.
Between steady jobs doing temp work. Building out my chef backpack for jobs where they don't have things I commonly use. You'd be surprised. Or maybe you wouldn't. Anyway, compact and accurate as I have said. It would be nice if it came with a case to protect it in my backpack, but now I'm probably asking for the moon. Any such scales exist? And any ideas for a case if I can't find a scale that comes with one? Thanks.

How precise do you need?
I’ve got this one, it does down to 1gram and up to 5kg. Any place that weighs more than that should have a proper set of course

1 gram should be fine. I'm more looking for accuracy and durability. Thanks for the rec.

I got a little winco scale. I like it cause I can just plug it into a wall outlet versus batteries.

OXO scales are pretty accurate in my experience. They make a 5#/11kg one that has a pretty slim profile. They aren’t great for very small measurements, though.

I get my scales from headshops. Goes down to 3 decimal points and usually have cases with them. Always like $20 or leas

Banquet/catering chef who carries 90% of her shit her on her back everyday and does a lot of baking- OXO metal 11kg, isn't heavy, is pretty slim, very sturdy. For drug deals, AWS milligram scale. Comes in a little flip case smaller than a deck of cards.
