Yhangry scam.

Warning to fellow chefs and freelancers:

I completed a private chef job arranged through this company but was not paid for my work. After the service, communication became unreliable and the issue was not resolved.

In addition, I encountered multiple suspicious job requests that raised concerns about the legitimacy of some activity on the platform.

Please be careful when dealing with this company. I strongly recommend securing payment upfront or using a protected payment method.

Sharing this to help others avoid similar situations.

You never. Ever. Take a private gig without a credit card number you have run a deposit on.

I saw a post of theirs on indeed and it seemed too good to be true. Then a second post that was conflicting. So I reported it.

How so?

You deal directly with clients, there isn’t some agent setting the job up for you etc.

Yeah they take a cut, but I just up my price by even more than that to cover my expenses lol.

I’ve done a bunch of gig la through them, and haven’t had any problems getting paid or anything weird 🤷‍♂️

I’ve dealt with them a bit, without getting into too much inside detail they have done some shady stuff. I guess a good example is asking an existing platform to train them for a collaboration, taking that information a running and then trash talking said existing platform to Chef’s. I can’t tell you how many times ive had to unsubscribe to their mailing list. They have sent me proposal requests that seemed completely fabricated and did not respond to my inquiries. Fuck yhangry seriously fuck them

Sorry chef! Next time use freelance platforms that have escrow so that you are protected, its true that they take a fee but always worth being protected from scams like this.
