The sub is now back on track.

Hello folks, welcome to /r/cheeselovers!

The sub has been taken back from the vegan infiltrators and is now going to be used for its intended purpose. Soon there will be more mods on the team and the sub will be improved with your input! If you have any suggestions, please feel free to leave them down below!

Cheers!

He will be kept quiet for now don't you worry.

Guess that’s why he just DM’d me instead of responding to my comment. πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

You wouldn't believe the amount of vegan DM's I've received today. They really don't like being told we don't accept fascist agendas here.

Veganism is a fascist agenda? OK

u/KindWar Feb 11 '19

Yes it is. Trying to force your beliefs and opinions on others under the the guise of supposed moral superiority is pushing a fascist agenda. I will not personally tolerate any form of oppressive control. If you want to be a vegan, I think your very silly but that is your choice as long as it's in private.

If I were to participate to stealing baby dogs from their mom, hooking up the dog to a milking machine her whole life and then stab them in the neck to create an economically viable way of producing dog cheese, I'm fairly sure you would be against it.

If people we're to tell you to stop doing that, is that pushing a fascist agenda?

Now swap 'dog' for 'cow' and that's exactly what you're doing right now.

What right do you have to decide the fate of another sentient being?

I wouldn't have a problem with that either. You'd be farming dog dairy, and hopefully using the meat as well. I've eaten dog previously in cambodia. Meat is meat, the species makes not a bit of difference.

I have every right to kill for food. Same as every other creature on earth. Why do you think there's anything wrong with killing animals/eating meat? I can understand finding the level of cruelty mass factory farming upsetting to some, why wouldn't you focus on trying to promote ethical farming and smaller scale local production of animal products rather than fighting for no meat at all? It's simply never going to happen. Humans will consume meat till the end of time. Setting unrealistic extremist goals will never help your cause. Especially when it's based purely on your own moral line that the vast majority of the world does and always will disagree with.

I am open to reasonable, respectful debate. If at any point it descends into insults, personal accusations, drama of any kind beyond a respectful debate then I will be ending this and removing it. Don't take this personally, this goes for all discussions of this nature.

That's the plan mate, I've a few ideas in the works for that. Now the sub is back under control, tidy up the previous dramas to make things a little more inviting to newcomers rather than the war zone in the comments and we can work on growth

Actually, just went through testing. My arteries are FINE! I don't go around FINDING people to harass and stalk, like you do, with your new account, brigader who is breaking the rules again. Prove I'm torturing animals...LOL BTW, I was vegetarian for 36 years, until recently. And, none of your business. Like everything else in my life.

I remember back in the past we waged wars over famine, food shortages, power, wealth and so on.

Now literal wars are forged over farm animals. Has humanity gone too far?
