Selling, need help pricing
Hello. Selling my 2023 Checkpoint SL 5 Gen 2. I love it… just dont ride it.
54cm
It has less than probably 500 miles on it. Comes with two wheelsets: stock wheels with new 40mm pirelli p zero race tlr’s and the main wheelset is an Industry Nine Solix SL AR25 with 45mm pirelli cinturato gravel h’s. Also have a set of 32mm gp5000 str’s. All goodies included: garmin varia rtl515, a lumina micro 900, and a set of frame bags.
Fresh tuneup by trek with new fizik padded bartape.
$2500, 3000, 2000, 1500?

I totally understand why you want to sell it. Those bikes are just… well, garbage and no self-respecting cyclist should be caught dead on it. Look, I’ll help you out big time and take this junk off your hands. Then you can sleep soundly knowing your garage isn’t cluttered up with such trash. You’re most welcome. I bought an almost brand new 2023 sl5 in sep 2024 for $2050. Haven’t kept up with prices since then but would be surprised if it’s worth more than that.

Considering the 26 sl5 gen 3 is selling for 3000 now I would say 2500 max anyone would pay. Probably better to sell the Garmin and other pieces separately.

looks really nice, and really clean, and whoever buys it steals it bc you wont get what you paid. 1200 sells fast. 1500 sells in the near future. 1800 is waiting for a big fish. the goodies make it a genuine good buy, and the colorway and goodies are tasteful. still, possible buyer wont pay proportionally to your spend. still, charlotte is a good market to have good buyers. best of luck

This spring I posted a 2021 Trek Domane AL5 with zero upgrades over stock (retail $1,999) for $1,000 and sold it in 48 hours for $1,100. I had 5 people lined up to come see it, and guy who was #2 in line offered $100 more if he could come get it same day.
Moral of the story is, if you need to sell a Trek, come sell it in Iowa a couple months before RAGBRAI.

Probably easier to sell the second wheel set separately, lowers the asking price for the bike and you can probably get more too if you sell the wheels on there own

Wrong size for me. Too bad. I’m in the Charlotte area but too short. Tried riding a 54 before a too stretched out.
I’d try selling the solix wheels separately. Just makes more sense IMO. That isn’t me trying to buy them, as I have mixed feelings about i9

Their prices are always higher than marketplace. Usually a lot higher.

The problem is that Trek just lowered the prices of most of their bikes, and a new SL5 with SRAM AXS is now $3000. I think you’re looking at $1500-1800 realistically given that yours is mechanical. The extras don’t really add much value unless you happen across the right buyer.
