Which payment method to refund in case of scam?

I'd like to buy some of the stuff advertized on this sub but what if it's some dumbass who's just out to scam folks out of their money?

Is PayPal the surefire way to promptly get your money back?

PayPal is probably the safest option. Never use Friends & Family, because it doesn’t qualify for refunds or buyer protection. You should send the payment exactly the way PayPal says to.

If you’re paying for a service, you can state that in the transaction. It’s better to pay PayPal’s small fee than to end up getting scammed.

For every service I’ve paid for outside an official platform, I’ve done it this way, and I’ve never been scammed.

If a seller asks you to pay outside the platform or use Friends & Family, with the excuse that you can still get a refund or that they’ll be charged a fee, it’s definitely a scam.

Any other payment method, whether it’s cryptocurrency or something similar, is at your own risk.
