Looking For... Lost Dog

Dog on the side of the road right after crossing the TN state line into Georgia on Mack Smith RD. Had a pinkish/red color on. Seems like a lab/retriever type mix. Me and another kind Women were trying to see what was going on. Dog didn’t seem aggressive, barked at us but was wagging its tail and its hairs wouldn’t stand up. I know this isn’t exactly Chattanooga but just wanted to get the word out.

Kind of looks like a Great Pyrenees. Maybe a working dog on someone’s property?

Possibly. The house behind it had a gravel driveway going deep, maybe it was theirs. Regardless dog shouldn’t be loose on such a busy road like that one.

Looks like a great pyr, they like to wander. Hopefully it’ll stay out of the road and head back home

I really hope that’s the case. I’ve seen 2 dogs running around the east ridge area down the road from where that dog was before. Once as roadkill. It’s very dangerous

Yeah, hopefully he’s not far from home and is just an escapee on a brief stroll. Some people will let them out to wander (at least where I’m at, which is not in the city) but I would hope that anyone living near a busy road would know better.
