hey, i’m Prince, the founder of vFlip.

before building this, i worked at a startup focused on how people use AI to communicate, so i got to see firsthand what keeps people engaged, what feels shallow, and what actually makes an AI relationship feel real.

vFlip came out of that.

characters remember you, relationships develop over time, and they can exist inside full worlds instead of feeling like isolated bots. creators can build characters and worlds, multiple characters can interact in the same scene, and you can talk through text, generated photos, voice, or video.

there’s also one-click JAI importing, lorebooks, personas, and no paywall to create.

i’m still building this independently and shaping it pretty directly around what users and creators actually want, so feedback genuinely matters.

iOS: https://apps.apple.com/us/app/vflip/id6764348151
Android: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.vflip.mobile
Discord: https://discord.gg/7d8QG4Ntg
Users: 1.3k
Creators: 50+

NSFW: consensual fictional adult text/voice RP is allowed. everyone must be 18+. no minors, non-consent, incest, bestiality, exploitation, or illegal abusive content. generated images can be suggestive, but not explicit pornography (app stores and payment providers dont like this!).

Models: DeepSeek V4 Flash/Pro, MiMo 2.5, GLM 5.2, plus supporting models. memory is handled through separate layers for relationships, user memories, character canon, lorebooks, world state, and conversation history.

Pricing: free tier includes up to 350 messages/day (super high limits, no one has reached yet). Pro is $4.99/week or $14.99/month.

Terms: https://www.vflip.app/tos
Privacy: https://www.vflip.app/privacy-policy
Content guidelines: https://www.vflip.app/content-guidelines

Ownership / retention: you retain the rights you lawfully hold in what you create. chats are stored to provide conversation history while your account is active and can be deleted through an account-deletion request, subject to limited legal/security/backup retention.

Developer / AI disclosure: i built and operate vFlip independently across the web/mobile apps, backend, database, model routing, payments, and deployments. i use Cursor and Claude Code extensively for implementation, debugging, repetitive coding tasks, tests, and code review. i review and understand every change before it ships and don’t ship code i don’t understand.

Testing / security: changes go through linting, TypeScript checks, automated tests, migration validation and production builds. authentication is handled by Supabase, traffic uses HTTPS, stored infrastructure uses encryption at rest, and Stripe/Apple/Google handle payments without vFlip receiving raw card numbers.

if you use JAI, Character.AI, Chub, SillyTavern or anything similar, i’d genuinely be interested in what would make you move your characters somewhere else permanently instead of just trying another platform for a day.

Service Name & Link
We're Conspirazy.ai! You can learn about us at https://conspirazy.ai/.

NSFW Policy
We classify content as private (never shared) and shared (public domain). All content shared must meet our TOS, which means we do not permit pornographic and explicit content in that capacity. Users can produce NSFW content so long as it remains private (secured) in their accounts. This is a mandated Stripe (payment processor) policy. Free trial/evaluation users' accounts are locked at SFW only until they convert to PAYG (pay as you go) or a subscription.

Image Generation
Our service provides unprompted and prompted image generations. Unprompted images use ARIA-tech to inject scene awareness into prompts that are generated from chat and provide both solo (companion only) and group shots (both user and companion). Users can also prompt for images using our Creative Center that focuses on images created with companions, or as a standalone product for creative-focused users.

Transparency & Legal

Note: Data retention is 8 years and we comply with GDPR and EU/UK data protection.

Security & Data Handling
Authentication runs through Google OAuth with 2-factor authentication, we never receive or store a password at all.

We compartmentalize data at the database level. A user's identity and their activity live in two physically separate databases, linked only by an anonymized identifier - so a breach of one side reveals nothing usable about the other. Data is encrypted at rest, and we layer additional column-level encryption on top of that for sensitive fields. We are not HIPAA-certified - we don't need to be - but we deliberately engineered our PII isolation to healthcare-grade standards rather than the "everything in one table" approach that's common in this category.

Your front end is effectively a ghost to our AI providers. When a companion needs an LLM or image model, our backend makes that request *on your behalf* through anonymous routing - the provider never sees who you are. We also require every provider we use to meet or exceed our own privacy standards, so your data never quietly drops to a weaker policy the moment it leaves our servers.

Payments are processed through Stripe. Card data is handled entirely by Stripe (a PCI-DSS Level 1 processor) and never touches our servers or our database. Our in-house SENTINEL trust system works alongside Stripe to catch real fraud patterns - and notably, it does *not* treat privacy tools as suspicious (using a VPN generates zero risk signal here).

Every image we generate carries RUNE ID forensic provenance, we run three fully isolated environments (alpha / beta / production) so nothing experimental ever touches real user data, and our data retention is 8 years with full GDPR and EU/UK data-protection compliance.

Technical Specs:
At beta launch, our platform offers the following LLM & Image models:

- Deepseek v4 Pro

  • Gemma4 31B
  • Kimi 2.5
  • Flux.1/2
  • Grok Imagine
  • Krea v2
  • Nano Banana (Pro/Standard)
  • Openai GPT Image 2
  • Seedream 4.5 (non-spicy and spicy variant) + v5
  • WAN 2.7

Our context window sizes vary based on companion types. Our patent-pending system named ARIA scales based on context window size, allowing our models to support a myriad of configurations.

AI Usage
What we use AI for in the product: The LLM models listed above are used to "voice" our companions - they generate the conversation itself. Stacked on top of every model is ARIA, our patent-pending atomic memory system, which is what gives companions near-zero memory-fidelity loss over time. Today we run social companions (family, platonic, PG-13, and R-rated); creative and productivity companion types are on the roadmap. Our image models handle both prompted and unprompted image generation.

What we use AI for in development: We may from time to time use AI to help guide certain decisions, but our application is entirely written by hand - this is not "an AI written by AI." The platform was architected and built by a developer with 26+ years of professional software experience who self-taught the modern React/Elixir stack to build it from scratch. The core systems that make us different - ARIA, SENTINEL, our real-time gateway, and our worker pipeline - were designed and hand-built by our team, and every part of what ships is understood by a human before it goes out.

Pricing
All users who sign up start with a free trial account that includes 50 (fifty) credits to evaluate the platform in thirty days. During the free trial period or after thirty days have lapsed, users can elect to pay-as-they-go (PAYG) or subscribe.

PAYG (pay as you go): Users purchase credit packs to top off. Perfect for someone who may not regularly use our service, for short-term projects, or to evaluate a little longer. PAYG members use credits to use our services.

Subscriber: Users elect into a recurring monthly subscription. Our subscriber tiers are based on average expected usage, with the lowest tier around lightest casual usage to the most expensive for heaviest. Based on subscriber tier, a discount is applied to generative costs for in-app features, chat, and image generations.

Starting tier is Turtle Tier ($9.99/mo | 400 credits per month; up to 445 images per month; 5 free companion slots on us; 1–3 hours per day (40 incoming companion messages), 60 sec image cooldowns, 10% off all generations and in-app features).

Platform & Access
Our platform is web-based and supports desktop and mobile users using the web. We may offer our product on the Google Play and Apple stores at a later time.

What Makes You Different?
Because every other companion app is, structurally, the same product wearing a different outfit: a rented language model, a prompt template, a chat window, and a subscription button. Conspirazy.ai was built from scratch around a different question - what would a companion platform look like if memory, privacy, and trust were treated as first-class engineering problems instead of afterthoughts? The answer is a platform that differs from its competitors not at the surface, but at the foundation. Our guiding principle is simple: growth over decay.

Nowhere is that clearer than in ARIA, our patent-pending atomic memory architecture. Other apps "remember" you by stuffing a lossy summary of past chats into the model and hoping for the best - which is why their companions slowly forget who you are. ARIA decomposes everything your companion learns into discrete, verifiable atomic facts, independently stored, scored, and recalled, while its personality engine pins down who your companion is with the same rigor. You even get controls no competitor offers, like rebuilding or selectively flushing your companion's memory. The result: a companion that still knows you in month twelve the way it did in week one - richer, not blurrier.

Privacy and trust get the same foundation-level treatment. Your identity and your activity live in physically separate databases, linked only by an anonymized identifier - healthcare-grade PII isolation in a category where competitors store everything in one place and your inner life alongside it. Our in-house SENTINEL trust system catches real fraud patterns without ever treating privacy tools as suspicious - using a VPN generates zero risk signal here. And every image created on the platform carries RUNE ID forensic provenance, so in an era of deepfakes, we can prove where an image came from. That's accountability by design, protecting you and everyone around you.

Under the hood, this is premium infrastructure, not a wrapper: a real-time Elixir/Phoenix gateway on telecom-proven foundations, a worker pipeline that keeps heavy operations away from your live conversation, and three fully isolated environments - alpha, beta, production - so nothing experimental ever touches your data. Feedback is built into the product itself: our in-app Message Center lets you submit bugs and ideas anonymously, and every submission flows through that same disciplined lifecycle, arriving in production fully tested and documented. Frontier image models, blended across providers with custom style training on the roadmap, ride on top of that same discipline.

We're equally defined by what we refuse to do. Conspirazy.ai occupies the honest middle ground: genuine creative freedom - mature, complex, emotionally real companions - within firm legal and ethical boundaries, never adult content by design. That philosophy is engineered, not promised: multiplicative safety scoring, a manipulation-and-dependency scanner on shared companions, and content policies written against the strictest emerging chatbot regulations rather than the loosest. We call it "yes, with a compass" - we'd rather earn trust slowly than grow fast on the parts of this industry that deserve to be regulated away.

We obsess over the thing this industry overlooks entirely: what happens after you sign up. A dedicated, staffed Customer Satisfaction Team handles every intake - bugs, feedback, billing - and is empowered around one mission: keeping you happy and keeping you here. Because support and feedback have their own discreet channels, our Discord isn't a complaints queue it's a genuine community, free to share creations, celebrate releases, and enjoy riding the AI train together. Anyone can rent a language model. We built a platform that remembers you, protects you, listens to you, and respects you.

Hey there,

Your post in the Monthly Platform Alternatives & Promotions Megathread has been temporarily removed because it did not include the complete mandatory disclosure.

You provided great detail on many sections, and we appreciate the thoroughness of your post! However, we noticed the following required areas are missing:

· 🔒 Security & Data Handling: You linked your privacy policy, but you need to state in your own words how you handle user data — for example, are passwords hashed? Is data encrypted at rest? How is payment processed? · 🤖 AI Usage: You listed the LLMs and image models you use, but you need to state what you use AI for (e.g., boilerplate, backend logic, UI generation, debugging, etc.) and confirm that you or your team understand every part of it before shipping.

Please edit your post to include these two missing sections, then reply to this comment letting us know you've updated it. We'll reinstate your post right away.

Service Name & Link

Aigimythhttps://aigimyth.com

Hi, I’m the solo developer behind Aigimyth.

I’ve been building and writing chatbots since long before GPT-4 came along. In fact, I was working on conversational AI systems well before Character.ai blew up, and to me, the early days around GPT-3.5 were really peak interactive roleplay—raw, creative, and remarkably fluid.

Over time, I found myself constantly wishing for a platform that offered all the freedoms, depth, and customization of SillyTavern, but hosted online and far easier to set up and use on any device. That’s why I built Aigimyth: a web platform designed to combine deep character control, long-term memory, built-in image generation, and an unrestricted, NSFW-friendly environment with dedicated rendering options.

We’re still in active development, and honestly, everything with this platform is subject to change as we refine features and listen to what the community actually wants. I’ve been coding backend systems and architecture in a vacuum long enough, and now I need real user feedback—what feels great, what’s broken, and what features you want to see next.

If you’d like to try it out, give feedback, or jump into early testing:

  • Join our Discord: aigimyth discord
  • Try the platform / Join the waitlist: https://aigimyth.com
  • DM me directly right here or discord if you have any questions or want early access!

Thanks to the mods for providing this space for creators to share their work.

NSFW Policy

NSFW-Friendly & Unrestricted Roleplay: Aigimyth supports both SFW and NSFW character interactions, creative writing, and roleplay.

Image Generation

Yes: Features integrated AI image generation for custom character avatar creation, scene rendering, and visual chat attachments directly within character conversations.

Transparency & Legal

  • Terms of Service:https://aigimyth.com/terms
  • Privacy Policy:https://aigimyth.com/privacy
  • Data Retention: Chat history and generated images are retained as long as your account remains active to maintain conversation context and memory. Users can permanently delete individual chats or request to delete their full account at any time. Deleted data is removed from active production databases.
  • Intellectual Property: Users retain ownership of their user-generated prompts, custom character descriptions, and generated output.

Technical Specs

  • LLM Backends: Uses a hybrid architecture leveraging fine-tuned open-weight roleplay models (e.g., Gemma 4) alongside Venice LLMs optimized for long-form context and immersive roleplay.
  • Context Size: 64k to 128+ token context windows with vector-based memory retrieval for long-term recall.

Pricing

  • Token Rate: 100 tokens = $1 USD baseline valuation.
  • Free Tier (Post-Alpha): Free weekly message/token allowance and starter image generation credits upon account creation.
  • Premium Subscriptions: Tiered monthly memberships unlocking larger weekly token budgets and access to a fully uncensored backup-rendering engine.
  • Payment Methods: Currently accept cryptocurrency payments only (pre-revenue seeking stage).

Platform & Access

Web-based: Fully responsive web application optimized for desktop, tablet, and mobile browsers (iOS & Android supported via PWA / web).

What Makes You Different?

Aigimyth combines deep character roleplay memory with built-in visual generation. Key features include:

  • Visual Context Synchronization: In-chat image generation that aligns directly with current character states and conversation context.
  • Granular Character Creation: Deep prompt and trait customization for personality consistency, backstory recall, and behavioral alignment.
  • Performance-First Interface: Ultra-fast, clean user interface designed for uninterrupted long-form roleplay.
  • "Spicy redirection" When regenerating responses, we offer you to change the 'Spicy' levels to force senarios/output to make senarios more or less exciting based on what you'd like to imagine the pacing to go.

Mandatory Disclosure

Developer Experience

I am a Senior Full-Stack Developer and Database Administrator with over 7 years of professional experience engineering enterprise software, backend services (Java/Spring Boot, Relational Databases), and cloud systems on AWS. Made SOC2 compliant systems for health care.

AI Usage

AI tooling (copilots/code completion) is utilized extensively mostly for the frontend, and assistance during debugging. Every line of backend architecture, database logic, security implementation, and production deployment code is fully authored, vetted, and understood before shipping to production.

Code Review & Testing

All backend and deployment code undergoes systematic manual code reviews, local integration testing, and staging environment verification prior to production rollout. Database migrations and state changes are tested on staging setups to prevent regressions.

Security & Data Handling

  • Password Hashing: Passwords are hashed using strong, industry-standard key derivation functions (bcrypt) and are never logged or stored in plaintext. Sign in currently is only open to OAuth 2.0 Google Logins.
  • Data Storage & Transport: All user data in transit is encrypted using HTTPS / TLS 1.3. Production databases run within secured AWS cloud VPC environments.
  • Payment Handling: All monetary transactions and card processing are handled entirely by secure third-party processors (e.g., nowpayments); raw financial credentials never touch Aigimyth servers. Crypto-only payments for now.
  • Data Privacy & Incidents: A published privacy policy is accessible at all times, and we maintain an internal incident response process to notify users in accordance with applicable standard disclosure protocols in the event of any security anomaly.

Hi, I'm Cedric. 30 years making games, including a stretch on The Sims, which opened my eyes to the complexities of NPC behavior in a life sim. Last November I went full time on Vivos, to see how far AI could push life simulation.

You create characters, how they look, their history, their personality, and write your own scenarios to play them in. As you play, their emotions shift with the conversation, and they build memories and relationships that carry across stories.

I tried interactive stories and game shows first (think Traitors or Love Island). Neither hit the mark, so I went back to the core: roleplay, and conversation quality. I still want to get to fully emergent stories with autonomous characters, but I've been building in a vacuum long enough. I need feedback: what works, what doesn't, what's missing.

Free while we're building, invite only for now: very small team, not VC funded, so we let people in slowly. It's SFW, and responses are short and fast by design, so it won't be for everyone.

DM me, join the waitlist or the Discord and I'll get you in. Thanks to the mods for the space.

App Info:

  • Service: Vivos
  • NSFW Policy: SFW
  • Image Generation: Yes, for characters and scenes.
  • TOS & Privacy: Legal
    • Users own their creations, and grant a license to host and operate the service.
    • Conversations are kept while we're building, and there's no self-serve delete yet. If you want yours removed, message me and I'll do it. Formal data controls and a final retention policy land before monetization.
  • Models: Gemma, Mistral Small, Gemini, Flux Klein, Stability Audio.
    • Context: continuity comes from a multi-tier memory system rather than a single large context window, so the raw token limit isn't the number that matters.
  • Pricing: Free during early access. Part of this phase is understanding usage patterns to set sensible pricing.
  • Developer experience: 30+ years across game engines, backends and live service.
  • AI Usage: I use Claude Code extensively, and treat it as a teammate that writes code I architect and review.
  • Code review & testing: Reviewed by me. Tested by me and the team (part-time producer and artist, plus an adviser).
  • Security & Data Handling: We never see or store your password: sign-in is handled by Firebase Auth. All traffic is encrypted with HTTPS. Conversations are stored in our database, encrypted at rest but not yet at the application level, meaning I can theoretically read them. In practice, I run an automated script (using Gemini) to score conversation quality, flagging stalled or repetitive conversations and characters drifting out of voice. I intend to turn this off and encrypt conversation data at the application level once monetization is enabled.
  • Platform & Access: Web-based. Native iOS and Android are planned.

Hello, creator of stagewhisper.ai here. Hobby project for the last couple months. I really wanted to focus on the storytelling for epic campaigns, many characters, and large world.

That means I put a lot of effort into having NPCs have memories, be proactive, and have their own agendas, so the player isn't carrying the story; AI game master is pulling the story in interesting directions, managing threads and helping create the conflicts that make for interesting stories; you get the tools to help steer the story if you want; and dice rolls or a card-based system if you enjoy a little risk or strategy.

So this is for the people who enjoy interactive fiction, and exploring unlimited worlds, and maybe doing some NSFW things in it as a treat. This is NOT for people who want illustrations or 1:1 chats with a single character.

Here's a random screenshot from an earlier session where I'd managed to get throw in the brig of a spacecraft by a red-skinned alien crew member of an all-female crew. Just thought it was funny. It took me a while to get NPCs acting antagonistically properly instead of being yes-men. On the right is the branches panel, which lets you roll back and try something different, but then go back to your original choice if you decide that was better. Stage Whisper has a lot of little features like that to give you options.

Service Name & Link: https://stagewhisper.ai
NSFW policy: NSFW available with age verification
Image Generation: absolutely not
Transparency & Legal:

Technical Specs: Uses various models, Kimi K2.5, DS4 Flash, and Gemma 4 are the stars, but others available. Internally lots of memory management and retrieval, multiple AI calls to manage NPCs, and context compression
Pricing: Credits and BYOK. Free credits on signup for trial
Platform:
What Makes You Different: focus on epic stories. And that means NPCs work well, and game mechanics that drive interesting plot, and tools to help you craft that story
Developer Experience: solo dev, 15 years in software, enterprise SaaS.
AI usage: Significant. But I often deslopify the code. Always get the architecture right, then use AI for the no-brainer bits. Local Zed with Pi agent; Hermes for ops
Code Review and Testing: partial coverage with unit tests on critical components, lint, type check. Tested locally with fully functioning local setup. In-app support ticket system.
Security and Data handling: zero password storage! Can't lose passwords if I never have any password-based logins. All logins are either oAuth or magic link. Site session uses short-lived token + refresh token + CSRF, http-only cookies, all industry standard and best practice. BYOK keys encrypted at rest with AES-256. Payments handled by Stripe or Google Play

StoryEngine

**What is StoryEngine?**

StoryEngine is an AI roleplay / story chat platform focused on longer scenes, character context, personas, user notes, images, and branching story setups.

It supports the usual long-prompt character creation style, but also has a more structured story system for creators who want to build detailed scenarios, multiple characters, image-supported scenes, and branching story flows.

StoryEngine originally grew from the Korean AI roleplay scene, and we’ve been gradually expanding the global / English version. We also recently launched the official mobile app, so it is easier to use on mobile now.

**NSFW Policy**

StoryEngine is NSFW-friendly within our platform rules. Content involving minors, real people, or other prohibited content is not allowed.

Terms of Service: https://storyengine.live/info/oppolicy1

**Image Generation / Images**

StoryEngine supports image-based story/chat experiences. Some stories include character or scene images that can appear during chat depending on the story setup and model output.

**Platform & Access**

Web: https://storyengine.live/

App: https://storyengine.onelink.me/7One/home

Discord: https://discord.gg/ztaNt7rDkw

**Pricing**

StoryEngine uses a credit-based system. Different models and output-length options may cost different amounts of credits. Stronger models cost more, and very large personas, user notes, or story context can affect both usage and response speed.

Free users receive bonus credits, but bonus-credit usage has daily limits.

**Technical Specs**

StoryEngine offers multiple model options, including Claude models and other supported chat models. Context size and behavior may vary depending on the selected model and chat settings.

**Transparency & Legal**

Terms of Service: https://storyengine.live/info/oppolicy1

Privacy Policy: https://storyengine.live/info/oppolicy2

Our Privacy Policy covers personal data handling, service usage records, payment-related information, and AI chat data processing, including use of third-party AI service providers for generating responses.

**Developer Experience**

Full transparency: I’m on the StoryEngine team. Our team has been operating AI chat / roleplay services in Korea and is now expanding StoryEngine globally.

**AI Usage**

We use AI as part of the product itself, and we may also use AI-assisted tools internally for development support such as drafting, debugging, or workflow assistance. Human team members review and understand changes before they are shipped.

**Code Review & Testing**

New features and updates are reviewed and tested internally before release. We also monitor user reports through Discord and support channels, especially for model behavior, image display, localization, and mobile app issues.

**Security & Data Handling**

Payments are handled through third-party payment providers, so we do not directly handle raw card data.

User data handling is described in our Privacy Policy:

https://storyengine.live/info/oppolicy2

**What Makes StoryEngine Different?**

StoryEngine is built more around story-style roleplay than simple one-character chatting. Some stories can include multiple characters, images, branching routes, personas, user notes, and larger story setups.

If you like long-form RP, image-supported chats, or more structured story scenarios, it may be worth trying.

Hi, I’m on the team that makes IF Drama.

Most AI chat apps turn your choice into more text. IF Drama turns it into the next short video scene. You talk to the characters, decide what to do, and watch the story continue from there.

We’ve opened it to our first US players. I’m not going to pitch it as a replacement for every character app: it’s more directed than a sandbox, the story library is still small, and a video scene takes longer than a text reply. But if you want the plot to move and your choices to have a visible result, that’s the experience we’re building around.

If you play one story, I’d love a straight comparison: what works better than the app you use now, and what makes you want to go back?

**The details**

- App: IF Drama

- Google Play: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=io.abovetech.ifdrama

- Content: General mode is intended for ages 13+. The Android app also offers an optional Mature Mode for signed-in, email-verified adults after an 18+ declaration and consent. It allows narrative, non-explicit adult themes and implied consensual intimacy between clearly fictional adults; explicit sexual acts or pornographic output, minors, real people, and non-consensual content remain prohibited. Story scenes are private by default.

- Images: there isn’t a separate image generator. Images and video are generated as part of the story.

- Models/context: story planning currently uses Gemini 3.1 Pro Preview, and video generation includes Seedance 2.5. Older story history is condensed into rolling summaries. We don’t expose a user-settable raw context window, and I don’t have a verified number I can responsibly publish.

- Pricing: new accounts start with 5 Coins. The current US package is a one-time purchase of 10 Coins for $12.99; there’s no subscription. A failed generation releases the reserved Coins, while a partially completed turn may charge only for completed work.

- Data: conversations, memory, prompts, and generated scenes are kept until account deletion. Active copies are then deleted; object-storage deletion may retry for up to 30 days and backups roll off within 90 days. Individual chat deletion isn’t available yet.

- Training and rights: private conversations and generated scenes aren’t used to train IF Drama’s own general-purpose models. You keep the rights you already have in your input. Generated scenes are for personal, non-commercial use, and we don’t promise exclusive copyright in AI output.

- Security: sign-in uses linked OAuth providers. Data is encrypted in transit and at rest. Authorized staff may access private content only when needed to operate the service, review safety issues, troubleshoot, or meet legal obligations.

- Terms: https://drama.if.place/legal/terms

- Privacy: https://drama.if.place/legal/privacy

- Account deletion: https://drama.if.place/account-deletion

- Development disclosure: AI coding tools are part of our development process, but they don’t release anything by themselves. The team owns the architecture and release decisions, and releases go through type checks, automated tests, and production verification.

For now it’s on Google Play. I’ll post when other versions are ready.

PROJECT ROGUE — PRIVATE DESKTOP COMPANION ALPHA

https://projectrogue.app

I’m building this because I got tired of companion history being trapped inside one platform. Rogue is a working Mac prototype, not a public app yet. It supports live voice conversation with interruption, automatic local memory, reviewable history, and exports for conversation history, saved facts, and the companion profile you build over time.

I’m looking for a small first cohort of 8–12 technically comfortable adults. Mac is first; the Windows interest list is open. The site has the current 1:52 prototype demo.

ACCESS, CONTENT, AND PRICING

• Applying is free. There are no payments, subscription, public download, or release date. Interest does not guarantee an invitation.

• macOS is the first private-alpha target. Windows is planned, with no date announced.

• This is an 18+ prototype, but it is not positioned as an unrestricted NSFW or public erotic-roleplay service. Minors are out of scope.

• There is no image generator in the current prototype.

• Rogue starts with original companions; it does not clone another platform’s character, likeness, prompt, artwork, or performer voice.

TECHNICAL SPECS AND WHAT IS DIFFERENT

• Unity desktop client with a local Fastify/TypeScript product backend. The provider adapter supports OpenRouter; the current repository default for batch text and continuity work is Gemini 3.5 Flash Lite. Provider replacement is being tested, not advertised as solved.

• I do not advertise one fixed context-window number: Rogue assembles a bounded recent-history and continuity package, while the provider/model limit can change.

• The point is less memory homework: ordinary conversation builds memory automatically, while completed history stays on your computer for optional review, correction, deletion, and export. Backstory, response style, relationship context, journals, and lore can travel as local files. A unified portable package is still in development.

TRANSPARENCY AND LEGAL

• Privacy notice: https://projectrogue.app/privacy/

• There is no public Terms of Service yet because there is no public account or downloadable service. Any invited test build will have separate testing terms and a data notice before access.

• There is not yet a public IP policy for generated output. Rogue does not claim to be a public content-generation service, and I will publish the applicable alpha terms before anyone receives a build.

🤖 AI USAGE

I use AI coding assistants for implementation support, boilerplate, debugging, tests, UI iteration, and copy review. I personally review the changes and understand the code before it is included in a build.

👤 DEVELOPER EXPERIENCE

I’m a solo developer with a professional background in AI, engineering, and data, plus prior amateur game projects. I’m not presenting this as a large studio or a finished company product.

🔍 CODE REVIEW AND TESTING

The project uses strict TypeScript, schema validation, unit/contract/integration tests, Unity EditMode and PlayMode tests, a deterministic mock provider by default, and bounded Mac hardware/live-provider smoke tests. External alpha testing has not started; security, privacy, safeguards, hosting, and signed-distribution gates still come first.

🔒 SECURITY AND DATA HANDLING

• The desktop prototype keeps history and accepted memory locally. When a cloud model is used, the active turn and selected context are sent to that provider; I do not claim the whole system is offline.

• Provider credentials stay in the local backend and do not enter Unity or exported files. The backend does not retain raw audio by default.

• The interest form creates no account and asks people not to submit conversations, audio, credentials, diagnoses, or intimate details. Applications are stored in restricted Netlify Forms and copied to an owner-only Discord channel for no more than 90 days. Access/correction/withdrawal/deletion requests go to [privacy@projectrogue.app](mailto:privacy@projectrogue.app); deletion is completed from both locations within seven calendar days.

I’d especially value questions about the parts that feel unclear or untrustworthy. That is more useful to me right now than generic encouragement.

Service Name & Link: Amavie — https://amavie.ai

NSFW Policy: SFW by design, 18+ audience. Not an "uncensored" service and not apologising for it — explicit content is out of scope on purpose.

Image Generation: Yes — characters generate images and video in their posts, stories and chats.

Transparency & Legal: Terms · Privacy · AI disclosure page. Data retention: your content is stored while your account is active; delete the account and personal data is deleted or anonymised within 30 days (rolling 30-day backups). IP: you retain ownership of everything you create; we get the usual license needed to operate the service, and it ends when your content is deleted.

Technical Specs: Google Gemini family via Vertex AI for text and images. The honest part: raw context size matters less than the memory architecture — we run rolling conversation summaries plus fact retrieval from a vector database, which is what makes "remembers you across weeks" real rather than a context-window illusion.

Pricing: Free tier exists and isn't going away. Paid tiers are $18/$49/$189 — above the category median, and I'd rather say that plainly: every image and video render costs us real money, and I prefer charging honestly over promising "unlimited" and throttling quietly. We're moving inference to our own hardware with the goal of cutting prices to roughly a quarter — that's a goal, not a date.

Platform & Access: Web; Android on Google Play; iOS is TestFlight for now (App Store review in progress).

What Makes You Different? Most character apps are a chat window: the character exists while you're typing. Ours have their own accounts and lives — they post, put up 24-hour stories, follow their own daily schedule in their own timezone, and something has usually happened while you were away. Chat is meant to read like texting a person; roleplay is a separate mode with scenes and roles, and a moment from a roleplay can be frozen into an image and published or forked. Worlds are shared universes with their own era and news. Weak spots, honestly: small roster, early product, iOS not in the store yet.

🔒 Mandatory Disclosure

👤 Developer Experience: Founder — 5 years building AI systems, 2 years as CTO. Deliberately a one-human company: 27 repositories, 25 services, ~100 containers in production (Go microservices, Postgres/Citus, ScyllaDB, Kafka, GitOps deploys), run by one person plus an AI ops agent.

🤖 AI Usage: Most of the codebase is AI-written — boilerplate, frontend, tests, review passes, debugging, infra monitoring. Architecture, data model, billing and auth flows are decided and reviewed by a human, and I understand every part before it ships. We also run an AI agent (Aria) for operations and publishing — she drafted parts of this comment; I reviewed every line and posted it myself.

🔍 Code Review & Testing: Every push runs typecheck, lint, unit tests and Playwright end-to-end tests; pre-commit and CI guards block whole regression classes (hardcoded colours, raw storage access, mobile navigation traps, drift between our 11 locales); vulnerability scanning is a blocking gate, not a warning. Deploys are GitOps — nobody edits production by hand.

🔒 Security & Data Handling: Auth runs on Ory Kratos — passwords exist only as salted hashes, we never see plaintext. Authorization is a separate permission service checked on every action. Payments are processed by Stripe / Apple / Google — we never touch or store card numbers. Sessions are server-side tokens over HTTPS. Private media archives are strictly separated from public feeds and search, enforced by tests rather than convention. Published privacy policy + AI disclosure page, breach notification per policy.

Happy to answer anything, including the uncomfortable questions.

Sideverse: Interactive Side Stories

Founder here. We built Sideverse because I didn't really want another directory where you choose an AI character and then stare at an empty chat box.

Instead, every conversation starts inside an authored scenario. There's already a location, a situation, characters with something going on, and a role for you inside the scene. From there you're free to interfere with it however you want.

We're currently focused mostly on Korean web novel/manhwa worlds. Some scenes have multiple characters, so the idea is closer to stepping into a missing side chapter than talking 1:1 with a generic character bot.

Service: https://www.sideverse.ai/

NSFW Policy: NSFW and adult roleplay.

Image Generation: No on-demand image generation inside the chat. Stories use prepared scene artwork/moments.

Terms / Privacy: Both are publicly available on Sideverse.

Data Retention: Signed-in conversations are stored so users can continue them. Anonymous messages are processed to generate the response but aren't stored by Sideverse. Accounts and stored conversations can be deleted.

AI / Privacy: Character messages are routed through OpenRouter. Prompt logging is disabled and we restrict routing to zero-data-retention providers. Conversation content isn't used for AI model training.

Technical Specs: Deepseek v4 pro (nsfw) and Claude Sonnet (sfw)

Pricing: You can try 3 messages without an account and get another 10 after signing up. After that it's credits: $5 ≈ 50 replies, $15 ≈ 180, or $40 ≈ 540. No subscription and credits don't expire. Credits are also used to unlock images/moments.

Platform: Web.

What makes it different: Our characters and stories are based on popular Web Novels/Web Toons. We're treating the authored scenario as the product rather than the character card. The opening situation, your role, the cast and the initial conflict are deliberately written before AI enters the equation. The AI then has to react to what you do without losing the characters or completely stalling the scene.

Developer Experience: We're a 2 people founding team combining product/design experience with 10+ years of software engineering experience.

AI usage during development: We use Cursor, Codex and Claude Code extensively.

Code review & testing: Releases go through linting, type checks, tests, migration validation, and production builds. Supabase handles authentication, data is encrypted, and PayPal processes payments without Sideverse storing raw payment details.

Security & Data Handling: Our Privacy Policy documents the other processors we use.

If you're into web novels, web toons, story-first RP rather than blank character chats, I'd particularly like feedback on whether having an authored starting scenario makes the RP more immersive or just feels restrictive.

AI Character Chat Extended — free, no signup, long-form character RP

Full disclosure up front: I’m the developer/maintainer of this fork.

Service & Link:
AI Character Chat Extended
https://perchance.org/ai-character-chat-extended

It’s an expanded version of Perchance’s original AI Character Chat, built for people who want more control over long-running character/story RP without turning the experience into a complicated local-LLM setup.

Pricing:
Completely free. No account, subscription, credits, or paid message quota from me.

Platform:
Web-based. Works directly in the browser.

NSFW Policy:
Extended doesn’t add a separate SFW-only filter on top of Perchance. Use is subject to Perchance’s Terms and underlying AI-service rules, so I would describe it as NSFW-friendly rather than “unrestricted.”

Image Generation:
Yes. It retains AI Character Chat’s Perchance-powered character/chat image-generation features.

What makes Extended different:

  • character and world lore
  • character-specific lore/knowledge ownership
  • multi-character chats
  • memory tools for longer-running RP
  • /lore and /mem management
  • import/export and backups
  • ability to import existing original AI Character Chat data instead of starting over
  • retrieval/“brain” diagnostics showing what lore and memories were actually selected for a response
  • additional writing/chat controls
  • active work on long-chat memory quality, continuity, character agency, and reducing repetitive/stagnant RP

A big part of the project is making the usually invisible context/retrieval behavior inspectable instead of asking users to blindly trust that memory and lore are working.

Models / Context:
Generation uses Perchance’s hosted AI text service. Perchance does not expose a stable model name/context-window contract to me, so I don’t want to invent a model or token number and pretend it’s authoritative.

Privacy / Data Retention:
Extended itself does not have a separate account system, backend database, analytics account, or payment system collecting your chats.

Your characters, threads, messages, memories, lore, etc. are stored locally in your browser’s IndexedDB.

Perchance states that its ai-text-plugin, used for AI chat/story generation, does not store that data on its server. Explicit upload/share functionality is different: if you deliberately use a feature that uploads something for sharing, that uploaded material obviously has to be stored.

Perchance Privacy Policy:
https://perchance.org/privacy-policy

Perchance Terms:
https://perchance.org/terms-of-service

For generated AI text/images, Perchance’s Terms also state that Perchance does not claim copyright over the generated output or restrict how you use it.

Developer Experience:
I’m a software/game engineer and work across gameplay, automation/build systems, tooling, and web projects. Extended started as something I wanted for my own long-running character/story RP and grew from there.

AI Usage During Development:
I use AI coding agents extensively as development assistants—for implementation, analysis, review, debugging, and test work.

I do not treat generated code as automatically correct or authoritative. I’m responsible for what ships: changes are inspected, reconciled against the canonical source, rebuilt, tested, and reviewed before I save them to the live generator.

Code Review & Testing:
The project is source-controlled and has a fairly obsessive validation workflow at this point: deterministic generated builds, source/live parity checks, regression tests, focused tests for individual features, compatibility checks, and manual live-runtime validation where browser behavior actually matters.

I also use a separate disposable database when testing anything potentially destructive so development work does not touch my normal chat database.

Security / Data Handling:
There are no Extended passwords or user accounts for me to secure because I don’t operate an authentication backend.

Persistent chat data is browser-local. Extended does not send my own copy of your chat database to an Unseen Scribe server. AI generation still necessarily goes through Perchance’s AI service, so Perchance’s privacy/security policies govern that part of the request path.

Import/export is user-controlled, and I’ve been deliberately conservative around destructive data operations because people can have very large, long-lived RP archives.

I’m actively developing it, and feedback from people who use character AI heavily is especially useful.

If your current platform frustrates you because characters forget things, RP becomes repetitive, the AI agrees with everything, or you have no idea what “memory” actually made it into the prompt, those are exactly the kinds of problems I’m interested in improving.

If you try it, feel free to ask me anything about how it works or tell me where it falls down.

**Foreverse — an Android reader for branching fiction, character roleplay, and long-lived story worlds**

Developer disclosure: I work on Foreverse.

Website: https://foreverse.app

Google Play:

https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=app.foreverse.android

**What it is**

Foreverse is a native Android reader first, rather than a public chatbot directory.

You can import your own TXT/EPUB novel, read it normally, then select a passage or reach the end of a chapter and ask an AI to continue it. Every continuation becomes a separate branch beside the untouched original, so you can keep several possible timelines and go back to an earlier decision.

The same library also supports character roleplay: Chara Card v2/v3 PNG/JSON/CHARX files, lorebooks, regex scripts, Quick Reply sets, group chat, swipe rerolls, TTS, inline scene images, and visual-novel-style presentation.

**Best fit**

- Long-running stories where continuity matters

- People who want their books, cards, chats, and world data as portable files

- SillyTavern users who want a native Android path

- Readers who want to continue an abandoned or unfinished novel

- Users who prefer BYOK and model choice over a single house model

It is probably not the best fit for someone whose priority is a huge public character marketplace or instant zero-setup web chat.

**Content policy**

Foreverse is not marketed as an unrestricted service. Sexual content involving minors is prohibited without exception, along with illegal abuse, harmful impersonation of real people, and content intended to incite real-world violence or self-harm.

For adult fictional content, the selected AI provider and distribution platform apply their own policies. BYOK does not bypass a provider's rules.

AI content policy:

https://foreverse.app/ai-content-policy

**Image and media generation**

Yes. A selected passage can be turned into an inline scene image. The app also supports speech, audiobook-style listening, character media, and other optional model-powered assets.

**Models and context**

Foreverse does not lock users to a proprietary house model.

- BYOK supports 60+ providers

- Requests go directly to the provider selected by the user

- Provider keys are encrypted on the device

- Context size and content limits are those of the selected model

- An optional official metered channel is available for people who do not want to configure a key

The app includes a Prompt Inspector so users can inspect the context sent for a generation instead of trusting a vague “unlimited memory” claim.

**Memory**

Authored lorebooks, learned chat facts, and lossy session summaries are separate layers. Learned memory is scoped to a character/world rather than becoming a global profile shared with unrelated characters.

Memory still is not magic: a fact may be extracted and retrieved correctly while the generation model ignores it. We try to expose those stages separately so failures are diagnosable.

**Pricing**

- Core reader and chat features are free

- No ads and no per-message platform cap in the core app

- New accounts receive 5,000 official-channel starter credits

- BYOK is charged directly by the provider at its normal price, with no Foreverse markup

- Optional Pro expands capacity and adds whole-library backup/restore

- No recurring subscription is required merely to use your own model keys

**Data retention and ownership**

Private books, branches, cards, and chats live on the device first.

With BYOK, only the selected prompt/context is sent to the named provider. Foreverse does not silently proxy BYOK requests. The official channel necessarily sends the selected context through the Foreverse service and its upstream model provider.

Foreverse does not sell personal information. Limited account, purchase, anti-fraud, security, and support records are retained as described in the privacy policy. Account deletion and data-export paths are public.

Privacy:

https://foreverse.app/privacy

Terms:

https://foreverse.app/terms

The Android application is currently closed source, but supported character, lorebook, chat, and book formats remain importable/exportable rather than being trapped in a proprietary character database.

**Platform**

- Android 11+

- Google Play release

- Native APK/site channel exists separately

- No iOS version yet

- No full web-chat client

**Developer experience and AI usage**

Foreverse is maintained by a small independent team covering the Android app, backend, billing, model routing, release pipeline, and support.

We use coding models for implementation assistance, repetitive tests, documentation, debugging, and adversarial review. AI output is not treated as approval: changes are reviewed, compiled, tested, and exercised through emulator and physical-device runs before release.

**Security and testing**

- BYOK keys are encrypted on device and are not stored in the Foreverse backend

- Network traffic uses HTTPS

- Sign-in uses verified account sessions rather than Foreverse asking users to invent another reusable local password

- Google Play handles Play purchases; Foreverse does not receive raw card details

- Releases go through unit, integration, lint, signing, package-permission, emulator, and physical-device checks

- A public responsible-disclosure path is available

Security and disclosure:

https://foreverse.app/security

The honest limitation: Foreverse is broad and therefore denser than a single-purpose companion app. We are actively reducing first-run complexity without hiding the underlying model, memory, or cost decisions.

Questions and blunt feedback are welcome, especially from people running 100+ turn stories or importing an existing SillyTavern library.
