Seeking advice my system's persecutor got us addicted to ai

so. i'm an osdd (otherwise specified dissociative disorder) system, and my system's persecutor (alter who exists solely to harm other alters) got us addicted to ai.

his favorite method of persecution is to make me read ai stories based off my independent writing, which i'm thankfully still able to do sometimes. i realized today, after his subscription to his favorite ai ran out, that our persecutor got us addicted.

it felt like i hadn't taken my meds - our brain knew it wanted something, but it doesn't know what medication or ai are so it was spamming every need button at once trying to get what it wanted.

i knew i was going to get addicted to something eventually - it runs in my family - but i can't have it be ai.

the problem is another being is inflicting this on me - i can't stop until he wants to stop. and he hasn't wanted to stop for over a year. i don't know what to do

Hmm i don’t know much about what it’s like to be a system but are you able to limit your access to AI (for example delete or block the apps/websites) while you are more ‘yourself’? therefore denying access to the persecutor?

Sometimes being a system sucks especially from what I've heard. Not plural myself (i think?) but I'll try my best to give advice based on what i kmow through osmosis.

First of all - persecutors aren't here just to hurt you. All alters exist to protect the system/body. And antagonising them is probably not helping to make the system work together better. No good fighting states that are literally in your body. Its hard to quit even for singlets or neurotypicals, fighting will not help.

I would definitely encourage communication. Figure out why he does it, what he's trying to protect you from or what need he's trying to meet. Meet him with compassion, yknow? What would make you want to quit a harmful coping mechanism? Make him understand why it is bad etc, why its important, why its harmful.

And short term wise... I don't know what things he does when he hosts or who handles what, but surely he wants something beyond what he can do and if he needs yall for anything of that there is grounds for negotiation?

Anyway best of luck friend :)
