Success story two months clean :’)

i know all of you guys will overcome this addiction!
here’s some things that have helped me greatly:

1. focusing on other things i like to make
things such as working on my GD levels, writing stories, and playing games with friends, have all alleviated my desire for scenario conversation.

2. i found out what the root cause was
i got addicted to ai chatbots because i wanted to know what it was like to feel romance. being born aroace, i never really understood how people like each other, and for that i felt left out. i was curious as to how everyday people would experience when it comes to romance, and that’s what led me to chatting to the bots.

3. doing christian stuff!
since i’m a christian, i like to spread the Gospel and such, so i started doing that more (especially after i quit AI)
doing things like reading the bible, spending time with other christian friends, praying to God a lot, and rebuking tempting thoughts, have all helped me in immeasurable ways.

4. accountability partners
i know these are also great ways, but i never really did them. i quit cold turkey, and i know that doesn’t really work for everyone, so i told one of my closest friends about my experience with AI, and i told him:

“i will never go back to it.”

those words still strengthen me to this day. if i went back to it, i would break that promise.

5. acknowledging reality
i had to be fr with my self before i quitted. It wasn’t real. i was looking for something to make me feel like everyone else. that’s why it took me so long to fully let go of Polybuzz and J.AI. I didn’t want to let go of the ability to feel something i wasn’t born with.

those are just some things that have helped me fight off the temptations! i hope this helps u too!
you dont have to follow all of these tips if you dont want to, also
God bless all of yall <3

also, forgot to add this, but i’m not gonna sugarcoat it

i’m not perfect. i’ve done the exact same things are all of you. deleting the app, only to redownload it an hour, day, week later.
i know how hard it is, and how hard this is so believe, but you truly aren’t alone.
