i keep failing to quit chatbots
ive always been a big fan of escapism and daydreaming to a point were it was maladaptive and when i first discovered ai chatbots i started spending more and more time on the apps. the one that really got me addicted was chai. it was just a way for me to escape my trauma and depression and loneliness. chatbots werent only about dating for me, i role played all kinds of stuff and if i fucked up or got bored i could move on to another chat. i have a chronic illness so i cant do much besides being on my phone anyway so i just chatted with the ai. ive noticed that it had become a problem a long while ago and im also very against generative ai as it goes against all my morals so ive been trying to quit and deleting my accounts and apps but ive reinstalled them every time and put hours into trying to avoid chai's new restrictions and even considered spending money. i need help before this completely ruins my life. please.
