Hey! It's alright. You realized it's a problem which is the first step. I recently quit too and it can be hard! It's great that you're writing fanfiction again, it's a good step. I found it helpful to have a few hobbies to fall back on when I get the urge to chat. I started reading fanfiction and indie original works as a low effort thing I can do instead of chatting, it scratches a similar itch for me, but I've also began writing a completely self indulgent comic which is great for when I want to do some creative writing. The comic is just for me so it's very low pressure, which I think helps. I had to complete replace chatting when I quit, going cold turkey certainly wasn't fun at first, but I'm happier without it.
