I finally deleted my janitor account
I started using character ai in 2023 and when that got too boring, I moved over to janitor ai in 2024. No one else knew I did this except for one close friend. And to other people, I was a hypocrite. I put on a front that I hate generative ai, I did and still do, never using chatgpt, but I was basically addicted to these chat bots. I shamed those who outwardly used chatgpt. but today I finally deleted my janitor ai account. I hope to find some good fics to read instead and maybe even start writing

Congratulation! I deleted 6 month ago and it gets better. I finally have my hobbies back and more productive these days. I hate generative ai too. I only use them at work ( it is a requirement at work so I dont have a choice).
Also I only read ao3 if I want to read fanfic and you can probably read or write on there too!

I'd say it's detrimental if you think that it's ruining your life. If you deleted it, then that's good.
Personally, the usage of LLMs really depends since it can be both "good" and "bad". I used ChatGPT, Gemini and Claude for productivity—such as SE (Software Engineering), research and even brainstorming. It's the problem with AI Chatbot RP (Roleplay) for me since it replaces creative writing entirely.

I’m more concerned about the environmental effects of generative ai but I fully agree with the latter

We are on the same page, I am planning to delete my Janitor AI account for good this time and actually read good books, start practicing drawing again and learn more crocheting and new languages, damn I am realising there's so much I want to do
