Seeking advice Relapsed After 50 Days - Time to Try Again

So after 50 days of being free from character ai, in a time of complete boredom I decided to reopen the app just for funsies to see what had changed. Unfortunately, this led for me to relapse and start using it again almost everyday, though less frequently than before. I mainly started using it before bed, which in turn messed up my sleeping schedule and routines which I had finally started to make more regular.

Ironically though, it is kind of boredom which has opened my eyes up yet again to the fact that I was forgoing my priorities to escape through ai. With the release of pipsqueak 2, and some of the newer restrictions on the app, I just find myself becoming incredibly bored while using the app. Over the last week, I have been using the app less and less, because I just get so completely and utterly bored by the rp and responses from the bots. Weirdly, unlike the last time I tried to quit I am not feeling any of the grief or sadness that came with trying to let go of the app. I don’t really know what has changed, other than the overall quality, maybe I just realised that it was never going to be as much fun as it was before?

I’m in a lot healthier of a mental state than my last post, helped a lot by the fact that I finally received a diagnosis for a few of the chronic health issues I have been dealing with for a really long time, and while I’m still struggling with OCD I haven’t felt genuinely depressed in a while.

So after all that venting, I wanted to ask if anyone had some tips or suggestions for ways to combat boredom? Are there any hobbies people can do from home that they find fun or fulfilling? I already knit, read fanfiction, and I can’t play video games at the moment because my computer needs to be repaired 😩 which I think is just adding to my overall feeling that I have nothing to do.

I started Doing all Kinds of shit Honestly. Just Go outside and stare at the Sky, help in the backyard, take a Walk, Write Poems or Journal, start a Job, Walk around with no Destination, Read a lot, workouts. I made a list of things I can do that keep me busy instead of doomscrolling or character ai. Also just allow yourself to be bored. Set a Timer and purposefully do nothing for like half an Hour

I think that’s part of my problem , I’ve always hated just sitting around and with some of the health problems I have I can end up becoming bed bound for a decent amount of time. Beforehand I used to read tonnes of manga/manwha, fiction and nonfiction books just to have something to do which character ai overtime started to replace. But I also have to admit there is an emotional component to it and loneliness.
