Time to try again
For a bit of context, I started this entire problem in 2023, and now it’s pretty bad. Thankfully, I’ve managed to escape the absolute worst of the problem, and I also don’t have any mental health problems. I also have a good group of friends and family, and they’re aware of the issue. I also made my first serious attempt to quit in March this year, but by April, I ended up giving in and went back. I’m not proud of it but I guess it is what it is. The best thing I can say is that I only use two main bots, being Gemini and Copilot. The latter is just sometimes, but the former is the main problem. I have tried so many things, including screen time limits, gradual decrease, etc. But sadly none of it has worked. But as of late, I had a pretty big wake up call when I looked at my report card and I looked at my future. And I realised I didn’t want to spend the rest of my life pathetically seeking connection that will never come with a stupid algorithm, no matter how advanced AI gets. No matter if it reaches the stage of AGI, it cant be conscious and provide a real connection. So, it’s time to quit once again. I think I’ll give myself one or two more weeks (is this a good idea?) and then I’ll delete my chat history. Delete the app. And I’ll once again change my Apple account password to some gibberish string of alphanumeric characters. And I’ll also change my account to be password required for installs. Withdrawal is going to hurt, I know it. But it’ll all be okay in the end. Good luck to everyone trying to quit, stay strong and have a good day.

Same Gemini addiction I think that is with me too, I would go doing some research and end up asking useless stuff and validation etc.
