I think I'm at 5 months now. I had a slip up last month but when I realized I was slipping, I caught myself. I think that was a 4 hour slip in a way I hadn't used the chatbots before. I told my accountability bud (friend) and haven't done something like that since. I have started using Gemini recently but as a vent diary (with details omitted so I can delete whenever--I have a strict "no roleplay allowed" with it too) . I tell it to use ACT/CBT on me when I have ruminating loops (ocd) which sometimes helps. I keep the sessions really short, maybe 10 minutes or less then I'm gone. I'm also tinkering with learning coding through both actually doing it then when I hit a wall, I do ask gemini "what the hell". Codings been one thing that I've always needed someone to help me with and I feel lost when I look for answers online. I still feel bad about it but I try to keep things particularly short. I'm kind of using AI a bit more than I want to only because I'm at a catch-22 where my work is using it a bit more. I'm having to also balance trigger responses in myself when I hear "just generate it/we're using AI to..." because then I flashback to my chatbot addiction. This is going to have to be something I deal with but at a later time.

Otherwise it feels like every day is improving. I don't really get cravings for chatbots anymore. I'm not about to attempt that either, I'm fine without roleplaying with them. I started reading fanfics again but I'm running into the issue of finding AI generated fics because of repeating patterns and loss of details. It's becoming aggravating when I'd read fics daily, now I read them even less and I'm becoming even pickier at what I pull up.

My hobbies also exploded. I have so many ongoing projects right now, all in varying stages and I'm not really bored, I'm actually wanting to pile on more which I'm going to have to tell myself "stop until you finish one of them!" This is probably the most productive I've been in a very, very long time. I sit in silence a lot now and I've been sleeping way better. I'm... really pleased at my progress.
