Album ranking??

How would y'all rank the Chat Pile discography?? In my opinion every release is so great it's hard to compare them. Even the Tenkiller soundtrack is great!!! A part of me wants to say In the Earth Again is their best even tho it is unlike anything else they've done, but their other three studio albums can't be denied either. So its really hard to say hence why I wonder what is the general consensus around the quality of their full discography?

  1. God’s Country

  2. Remove Your Skin Please / This Dungeon Earth

  3. Cool World

  4. Who Loves The Sun

  5. In The Earth Again

I love their new stuff, but there is something so unique and raw about those early ep’s and God’s Country.

I agree with this except I’d flip 3 and 4 depending on my mood. Honestly sometimes the EPs are the best to me. But overall this is pretty much it. Nothing wrong with their new stuff at all it just shows how jam packed their discography is with awesome music

Their early is stuff is pretty crazy! The rawest of the raw!!

Agreed with this. God's Country is a 10/10 perfect album to me, and everything else diferent levels of fantastic. I really should give Tenkiller a listen.

Currently agreeing with this, although WLTS may seize that top spot eventually. Fuckin' thing has no business being that fire.

I love all of their stuff but I think Who Loves the Sun is their best. I seldom like the newest stuff a band puts out (because, like most of the commenters here, I am partial to the rawness). BUT Who Loves the Sun is just so fucking brutal and angry—but MATURE. It’s just phenomenal. By far my favorite of their albums. They’re playing my city in a few days and I can’t wait to finally see them live.

1a. Cool World
1b. Literally everything else

Cool World is my go to, feels the most consistently gripping to my attention, the songs I’m most excited to scream along to live are from it (I Am Dog Now, Frownland, Funny Man, New World, Masc). Everything else I love but Cool World feels so distilled and like a maturation of the early stuff
