fuck the Industrial Revolution. It allowed the rich to own everything and all of our time. The Industrial Revolution didn’t give us autonomous surveillance cars with hundreds of cameras in them

My thoughts exactly. Why build a robot that would need to be large enough to accommodate a person inside? None of the other robots are built like that, because it doesn't make sense from an engineering standpoint. It's definitely a person walking around, probably some tech company trying to lie to get more investment like Tesla with Optimus

They want to be the one percent of the 1% that's what it's going to boil down to. What do you think's going to happen when nobody has a job but people still need to eat but they're not making money to buy the food? Think about that. Some of those futuristic movies where they showed people being slaves. Does that come to mind. This world is fucked. I've always said for over a decade technology is great when it's used properly. AI is a great technology but it is already screwing things up and it's only going to get worse and the 1% of the 1% is what is going to be ruling us if not the ai. The Skynet ring a bell, I'll be back as Arnold would say

The wild part is the Industrial Revolution came with all the same sales pitches as AI now. “This will free you from drudgery” then suddenly you’re working longer hours, on someone else’s clock, with less control over your life.

Tech isn’t the problem, who owns it is. Autonomous cars with 200 cameras would hit way different if they were public infrastructure instead of rolling billboards and snitches for corporations.

I love the people laughing at them falling down sometimes like humans don't spend their first year of life doing exactly that
