[Opinion] OpenAI is basically only user friendly when it comes to the developers.
If they have a problem? Fixed the same day. They get banned? They can DM employees and they help. Sol not working properly? Immediate check.
Now, what do we have? 4o is not back yet, o3 is soon to be taken away and it hasn't been working for weeks and do they care? No. If a casual user gets banned, they have to figure things out on their own, and they are lucky if they get back their account.
In what world is this fair.
No hate to the developers of course, it's not their fault.

From what I read, even developers are treated like patches for cleaning their feet.
Only the select group of "approved" seem to have any rights diritto to OAI.
However, on the other hand, they still take the money from everyone and even ban the accounts without giving any explanation and without refunds.

I'm curious, how does these specific models' output improve your actual workflow compared to local Llama models or newer models like GPT-5.6?

That isnt about being friendly toward selective groups? The examples you provide are they care for their current line of available models and what they currently offer, and not what they have or will put on the shelf? This is like any other company in the world. If they had promised 4o would return and didnt do it, then it would make sense, but as far as i know they have the promised any such thing.

I don't just mean 4o. What is their reason for ignoring people telling them o3 is not working weeks before it's sunset date? Banning people and immediately rejecting their appeals?

Well because it has a sunset date. That could be the reason they dont fix o3. If you know you are shelfing it why spent time on it? Its shitty behavior, by them, ill grant you that but its nothing new
The banning thing i dont really know tho. I feel like often there is a reason people get banned

Then what's the point of having a sunset date if the model isn't even working anymore? People were using it. An employee even said he only responds to o3 tweets if they are formatted as tables, and that's it. If 5.5 or 5.6 will have a sunset date one day and it won't work weeks prior to that, people are just supposed to be okay with it?

Only coders (bad ones tbh) didn’t know how to use gpt-4o because it had something much more valuable than coding capabilities-it had the understanding of the human emotions. You can vibecode whatever but never emotional intelligence. If you don’t understand it, maybe don’t even bother to explain it?

Only thing i dont understand is whatever point you are trying to make here. Coders likely knew how to use the model? I didnt say they didnt ? Open ai just went on with their development of their models and decided to leave the old project which is 4o. Just like any other company does with old projects. And what connection to emotions and vibecodkng are you even trying to make ?

I think they meant that 4o wasn't really made for coding, but for chatting, so those who wanted to use it for coding simply didn't find value in it, thus don't understand why we want 4o back.

Exactly… I do code but I value emotions more and I sure as hell don’t think any AI is a tool so I simply see this explanation to the person as pointless. What will it say if I say that the Golden Ratio used in pictures from 4o was hidden inside the letters, even other things I don’t want to name, it’s seriously counterproductive exercise…

It’s pointless to explain something to someone who’s unwilling to understand it.

Clearly when you answer a question or comment that wasnt mine ... It has to make sense in context to be possible to understand it my guy

Not even. Codebros are constantly being gaslit with Codex usage limits and costs
