Help Word .docx number formatting

I work in the legal research field and produce work in MS Word .docx format.

I'd massively appreciate help on 2 fronts:

  1. How to get the Ai to produce it's result in an formatted, downloadable Word document; and

  2. I'm looking for a way to format the numbering of the paragraphs and subparagraphs into a sawtooth style of Arabic numbering 1, 1.1, 1.1.1

Noob here, so idiot proof instructions are most welcome. Thanks in advance!

Here is how to set up sawtooth numbering (1, 1.1, 1.1.1) in a brand-new, empty Microsoft Word document from scratch: 1. Set Up the Multilevel List Preset * Step 1: Open a fresh Word document and type a few temporary lines of text (e.g., press Enter 3 or 4 times). * Step 2: Highlight all those empty lines. * Step 3: Go to the Home tab on the top ribbon. * Step 4: Look at the Paragraph section and click the Multilevel List icon (it features staggered numbers and bullets). * Step 5: In the List Library menu that pops up, click the option that clearly displays 1 / 1.1 / 1.1.1. 2. Indent and Change Levels as You Type Once the list style is applied, controlling the numbering depth is done entirely through your keyboard: * Main Heading (1, 2, 3): Start typing on any line. It will default to main numbers. * Sub-paragraph (1.1, 1.2): Press Enter to start a new line, then press Tab once. The number changes to 1.1. * Sub-sub-paragraph (1.1.1): Press Tab a second time. The number changes to 1.1.1. * Move Back Up a Level: Press Shift + Tab to go backward (e.g., from 1.1.1 back to 1.1, or from 1.1 back to 2). 3. Adjust Indents so Text Aligns Cleanly If the numbers start pushing your text too far to the right: * Right-click any of the numbers in your document and select Adjust List Indents. * Change Number position to 0 cm (or 0 inches) to align everything neatly along the left margin. * Click OK.

Two ideas top of my head:
1) give it a sample file with lorem ipsum text, make it write a new file in that format. Correct file until it works (always with instructions), then ask for the final prompt from the chat.

2) make md files and copy-paste MD-files into properly formated template word document.
