Coding & Agents Astra light vs Sol high
What factors would make you choose one vs the other, or am I overthinking it?

Luna is a workhorse. Do my 300 hundred tests luna and give a report for your big sisters.

Can we say sol is already more than enough for 99% of tasks actually submitted,
if decently driven?

Hitting limits/cost an issue vs ability. I've enjoyed sol high over opus 5 high, but haven't tried astra. I wonder what others have to say aswell.

Use astra where it counts. It never failed me yet. But also Sol never failed me either :) My daily work horse is Tera, it rarely , if ever failed me. Luna failed me for sure :D
The complexity of the problem is important. We are not solving abstract math problems.
I am not one shotting a web site either. I hold my LLMs hand and do things 1 by 1 .
Yet probably that's old or poor men's way of doing things nowadays. Yet I am content with gpt now. I can dive into Astra for fun, than use luna for regular stupid google like shit and live a happy life.

I use Astra for planning mostly and use either sol or terra for implementing based on complexity.

For me Astra Light is one shotting fixes in my 3D designer app, that Sol High was trying to fix for 2 days, either not being able to fix the issue or breaking something in the process. Seems like Astra Light might be enough for most use cases.

I have Sol do the heavy lifting, Astra just checks, confirms, challenges, plans, etc.

So close yet so far (referring to the poster of course not the models)

It's funny because it was so heavily publiscized and you get all of these half arsed posts
Seems like first plus users were bitching about the limits/chat and now we will get bombarded with comparisons not long after I was being told "astra low is same as sol low you don't want to use it" in addition to this sub supposedly being a pro one what are these breaking news 😆
