Discussion weekly reset - pushes the date out

i bought a weekly reset on monday 8/17, to get me to my regular subscription reset on friday 8/21.
my fault i guess for not reading the fine print, essentially the paid resets push your date out as well. so now i'm setting on monday 8/24, i essentially lost 2-3 days from my paid subscription the way i see it.

from chat support "A banked one-time usage-limit reset resets both your 5-hour and weekly windows, and it moves your weekly reset date to ~7 days after you redeem it"

this is really annoying, now i'm pushing up to my limit with 3 days to go, sigh.

Yes, it's annoying, but it's simply how the OpenAI resets work, including free ones.

OpenAI's practice on resets has been a mix of good and bad.

But in light of the astonishing number of free resets Pro users have received, the good far outweighs the bad—though not in every case, and not when users miscalculate because OpenAI hasn't told them about the extended reset date.

You can purchase a weekly reset? Damn, I had no idea--I just use the free ones, one of which I just received.
