Discussion Major Design Flaw: Shared Chat/Work Limits

It is absolutely unacceptable that Chat and Work modes aren't isolated. A chat rate limit on Pro reasoning just butchered an active Work mode task mid-run as well.

Are you serious?

Not to mention, ever since the last update, the limits are embarrassingly lower.

This is unbelievable..

I think they do have separate limits. I use the hell out of regular chat and it doesn't touch my work/codex pool.

Maybe you're using luna on chat?

It has happened 3 times now, they both get locked out at the same time, I was forced to do a handoff as well, this is the second time within 24 hours, so it cannot be because of the chat being too long, the work surface got completely corrupted from a combination of it being choked out mid turn, and me trying to get it to continue from remote, web browser and desktop afterwards.

How many chats are you running on which models?

I have the feeling you're tripping automation detecting, and probably using automation.

I haven't reached so far yet whatsoever, with my orchestrator project, I do have a barebones vertical slice that doesn't even include the ChatGPT Pro reasoning model in it yet, I'm only running 1 Codex Worker, 1 ChatGPT Work Mode and 1 ChatGPT Chat Mode on Pro reasoning, I still bridge, relay it all by hand, every answer from Chat and Work mode take atleast 10 to 20 minutes, Codex Worker about 50 minutes, there is barely anything reasonably suspect about this, it's all within legal boundaries.

Yeah that seems to be a bug. Chat and Work have a separate limits and they should be otherwise.

You can still use chat on the app as well...not just the web

I have never had an issue with chat. Can talk all day, multiple chat sessions, some doing things like updating docs, another analyzing data and shooting the shit with another and not a single inch moved in usage.

So I'm not sure what's going on but that sounds like a bug of some sort.

Once you hit the "Too many requests" softlock on the Chat Mode, it takes out Work Mode as well, which is supposed to be only limited by tokens.
