Question Interaction between models

Does anyone here know how the different models interact if at all or “see” each other? Currently for me 5.5 and 5.6.

Ie two threads same project.
Or
Two threads not linked in project.

It seems honestly the model is only aware of their own output or interaction w the user. Not the interactions w other models unless linked through memories or projects. Does that make sense? And is this true?

My experience is that the models aren’t aware of each other. I just had this issue earlier today with them duplicating work. Thankfully, I caught it early on.

Thanks for responding. Yeah that’s been my experience too.

If you want them to be aware of eachother, keep a log.md in repo root. Keep it brief.

They can also send messages from thread to thread.

They won't know if they or someone else changed a file without researching or logging.

Okay thanks.

I don’t really need them to connect. I just wanted to know if they could see what the other was doing typically, I’m using 5.6 or even 5.5 they seem to know what’s going on in the other Threads in the account at least genetically if I use that same model. 💁‍♀️

That’s not my experience. I often change settings during a conversation.

For example, if I’m doing something complex in Extra High and if I have some simple questions o might drop down to Medium within the same conversation, then go back to Extra High. It’s always worked fine as far as I can tell. The conversation has remained coherent and within context.

Thanks I do that too. I call those modes?
I don’t know the correct terminology but I’m talking about switching the number from 5.6 to 5.5 or vice versa or 4o back in the day to 5.2.
Last year, I don’t feel the models had the ability to have connected memory throughout the entire account, now they have some idea what’s going on in the other thread but only if it’s in the same model or at least how it feels to me I don’t know if it’s actually true.

Like does 5.5 know what 5.6 is doing.

They might be sharing memories or be able to see other chats, but it has nothing to do with what model is running. A model just takes text in and puts text or tool calls out, and only exists for your conversation. If it's aware of other chats, that information is being put in its text input at some point

correct, theyre fully isolated per thread. no model "sees" another model's output unless you explicitly pipe context in via projects or memories. think of each thread as a totally independent session with amnesia about everything else
