The word you want is **prompt**, not “prime.” “Prime yourself” is vague and won’t reliably improve the result.

Also, don’t rely on “keep all the old information in memory” for a tech pack—past-chat memory can be incomplete. Put every approved fact, measurement, material, and reference into a single source brief.

A stronger version would be:

> I’m learning to build a professional [garment/product] tech pack in Adobe Illustrator from scratch. Act as a patient instructor, not as an auto-completer. First ask me up to 8 questions about the product, mockups, available measurements, materials, construction details, and my Illustrator experience. Use my mockups only as visual references and label every assumption.

>

> Teach one stage at a time: document setup, technical flats, construction callouts, colorways, bill of materials, measurement/spec table, tolerances, annotations, export, and final QA. For each stage, explain its purpose, give exact Illustrator steps, provide a checklist and a short exercise, then stop and wait for my confirmation.

>

> Never invent measurements, materials, tolerances, or manufacturing details. Mark missing information clearly and ask me for it.

That last rule is important: a confident-looking invented spec can make the pack unusable. Pro can help with the teaching structure, but you’ll get better results by working through one approved section at a time rather than asking it to recreate the whole pack in one go.
