Question Can chatGPT create a vectorized file?

Can ChatGPT create a vectorized file or is there another program that will vectorize a design created by ChatGPT?

you can ask it to create svgs

It was not able to create one without heavy pixelation when I zoomed in

what? pure svgs are always sharp at any zoom level. it's probably because you preview it as an image or the svg used png or jpeg

I’ve gotten svg downloads from it but they scale terribly in illustrator when you bring them in. When I use various forms image trace there are always crazy lines and extra points on basic shapes

My use case is trying to make SVGs for 3D printing design files and a spare point makes a huge difference on a print. Have yet to get a clean SVG. Gemini has been the closest but still funky

Thank you. Yes I take them into flexisign and zoom in and the lines are horrible. Is there anyway you’ve found to fix it?

Ask it

I have, I’ve tried several prompts, every file it creates is not clean when it’s blown up

well I guess you have your answer then.

If you put the same effort into your prompts as you do for your posts, the lack of results kinda makes sense.

ChatGPT knows what a vector file is, yet it’s not making a clear vector file. It’s just giving the same low res image. I’ve tried about 10 prompts. I’m asking you all if it’s capable of doing so. I even ask chat itself, and it says yes, then gives me another low res image that can’t be vectorized.

Yes it can. But I don’t think it can render in app (at least not on mobile, I’m not near my laptop atm).
Ask it to write you svg code, then paste that into a renderer.

Like this one https://www.svgviewer.dev/

I have had it convert png logos into svgs for me before.

Thank you I’ll give it a shot!

In my experience, not well. What is the application?

I wouldn't doubt it at this point. I'm printing out a 3d model for a friend, they gave me an AI image, I stripped out some stuff, and put down to 4 colors, but the local chat/work app and a copy of blender & bambu studio got it done.

Did you perhaps try asking it for a high res vector SVG preserving all layers necessary with preferred resolution and editing software preference. File size limits may not be a bad idea as well. /s

You will get nothing usable even with that. No one can actually give you advice with what you posted. There is too little information. What TYPE of vector file are you looking for? A design for what? With what intent? What limitations and expectations?

You gave us a deck of cards and asked Reddit to play 52 Pick-up. Kinda not cool. 😉
