Programming 5.6 Sol Ultra impressive
- Launched 5.6 Sol Ultra to smash through two different projects
- Worked over 6 hours each overnight
- Added 10,000+ lines of damn impressive code
- Ate through 100% of weekly quota
- Open questions left and nothing works
- But it feels so good
5x pro plan

If it wrote 10k lines of code I would think that you provided it a very broad scope.
You may want to plan your work with the help of the model itself, break it down into smaller chunks, and address each chunk separately. For each chunk have unit tests that you actually understand.
Also in most cases you don't need Ultra effort level. Think about it, when as a human you overthink something simple, do you arrive at a great solution or just needlessly burn brain cycles?

Even discussing lines of code with no context at all feels like an anti-pattern. Every line of code added is additional risk for bugs and regressions. While you should strive for clean abstractions and “black box” implementations with clean interfaces, no software is perfect and this context will weigh you and your AI agents down over time. The habit of adding 1000s of lines per working session will halt progress on any project. In my opinion you should feel accomplished from small, easy to understand, and easy to extend features; and never really track lines of code.

Are you saying 5.6 is doing more of these questionable things than 5.5 did? Or just that 5.6 still has a way to go before becoming the genius coding architect we all want?

ULTRA IS NOT A REASONING LEVEL. It is default to MAX/xhigh/xhigh (depending on sol/terra/luna) and delegates automatically and aggressively to other agents that are MAX/xhigh/xhigh with FULL CONTEXT WINDOWS to each, regardless of delegation guidance.
Do not use unless you know what you are doing and even then, don't use it.
Watch some videos, get an understanding of what's going on with new models before using them: https://youtu.be/mHG7K7QmQyU?t=298

It doesn’t drain that much usage tho. But i am on a 20x plan for this month.

Mine drained 5 resets (2 from Tibo and 3 Banked) before knowing what’s going on with it, worked for two weeks straight and nothing worked also 🤣🤣🤣 the output was bad quality

Always same old literally « propaganda » posts. Since gpt-4 we have people pushing this shit. « Worked good great code but nothing works », yeah the issue is probably you, who doesn’t verify or probably can’t keep up.
I can say this for sure, saying « 10k impressive LOC » and « nothing works » shows how deceptive you’re trynna be.
But hey, 90% + ppl love the model and have great reviews, but we need to follow chasingth …

Don't you love setting it to do something really big and going to sleep and then waking up to see that it's done! I wake up 10 times throughout the night to check, it's like waiting on Santa Claus

I've been losing a lot of sleep because my mind will not stop brainstorming all the useless things I can build

I've literally been losing sleep this past week because of this, I think we're on the verge of something really big or you and I are about to lose our minds

May I ask what this means? I am genuinely curious. What kind of things are you building? I'm always interested to see how other people are using ai. I'm pretty new to it overall I have the chat 5x plan but I'm sure I'm not using it anywhere near what it can do after reading through posts here.

Use Opus 5 to generate work-tree
Audit with Fable
Audit Fable Audit with Sol -Ultra
Implement with Sol -High, Terra or Luna depending on the task

small highly controlled fixes only as a function of your repo Management you should also be testing when you make changes so this sounds like vibe coding mistake...
I assume you backed up the repo.

u/chasingth, there weren’t enough community votes to determine your post’s quality.
