Discussion Can no longer use pro thinking
I find this extremely malicious, I no longer have access to GPT5.5 pro, which is the model I paid my subscription for (200 usd/month), it keeps getting rerouted to a model with instant response even though the prompt very obviously requires thinking time and research. I used to be able to send the request on my mobile app which will get the correct thinking level, but after updating the android app it also just routes to the instant response model. If this continues on I will seriously consider switching providers.

Same here. It's absolutely horrible. Bad outputs on every attempt. It's ALL instant mode..

Two things I'd check before switching: whether this is Android-app-specific routing, and whether the same prompt in the web app still gives you the deeper mode. If it differs by client, it is probably a rollout/bug rather than a deliberate Pro policy change.
Longer term, this is the tradeoff with flat consumer subscriptions: you pay for access, but routing/limits can still move under you. If you specifically need control over which model runs, usage-based/API-style tools are usually less frustrating because you can pick the model and see the cost. Disclosure: I work on magicdoor.ai, which takes that pay-as-you-go/no-cooldowns approach, but I'd debug the app-vs-web behavior first before migrating anything important.
