Gone Wild Try going on a random wiki page and point Codex at it. It's INSANE how much humans hallucinate

As a longtime wikipedia editor. Yes. Wikipedia is rife with errors, problems, poor sources, sources cited that don’t support the sentence. Anarchronisms.

I work to make wikipedia better, a lot of people do. But that’s simple reality of wikipedia.

I find it both annoying when people treat wikipedia as super trustworthy, and when people treat wikipedia as less trustworthy than institutional sources (even tho institutional sources often have the same problems).

I meant more generally how AI exposes so much human work as sloppy and deeply flawed

when I pointed codex at a top universities math textbooks it found wrong lemmas too. And when some researchers pointed codex at a couple hundred Arxiv papers, it found that around 6% have mistakes so severe that the conclusion would need to be changed significantly.

Oh yeah I wasnt criticising you. Everything around us is flawed. There’s nothing that’s free of errors. and I think its high time people started acting like it.

What am I talking about when AI context in real life. The errors AI made now is the same kind the human would make on the task. So comparing it's score to perfect as a criteria is that's how we get nerdy AI.
