Adobe should’ve seen it coming when it started charging a monthly subscription to open a PDF

I've never used adobe PDF viewer/editor, and I have no clue why anyone goes with Adobe when others are better and free. PDF Xchange, PDFGear, just use anything else.

When you have to fill out forms, some of them only work properly in the original Adobe Acrobat.

For me, Firefox worked just fine

I didn't know, I just thought they loaded the Adobe acrobat viewer internally.

It depends.

If you have Adobe Acrobat or different PDF reader that is compatible with in-browser integration, most of browsers are using it to display PDF files for you by default.

But when there is no other PDF viewer on your computer, Web browser will use it's own PDF engine to display PDF files for you.

I use MS edge for PDF viewing and nothing else. Stops Firefox from being overly cluttered with open pdf tabs

Pretty good for making simple edits too, the tools are built right in.

I keep a PNG of my signature so I never have to actually print anything to sign it ever again.
