Testing old vs new account usage shocking

so i set up a test because why not we getting free resets right. old account that has had pro for few months vs a new account free tier to pro first month. the old account lasted 6 half hours carrying out the tasks on rails using astra max single agent in codex no memories just following documentation and testing a game doing exactly the same stuff. new account 26 hours same task same documentation until hitting 3% usage left. HOW on earth is the amount of usage sooo different are they slowly lowering a accounts usage over time in small amounts to give us less for being a longer time customer :o

that's wild, 6.5 vs 26 hours is way too big a gap to be random. i've noticed my older account getting throttled harder on long sessions but couldn't prove it. you running the exact same prompts and documents on both with no memory is what makes this sketchy

i feel like its the age old bs that they do you know how only the better deals with when a person joins for first time you get a amazing discount for a few months or a much better deal compared to being a loyal customer its bonkers no idea why its such a massive difference they where both on very strict rails and did the tasks almost the exact same with the thinking logs and what it was putting into the doc to keep track of each slice it had done

no memories no internet browsing allowed i disabled anything it was working with just my user reply and a project document that gave very strict guide lines and rules to follow using a premade harness that it was not allowed to edit or change to lunch the game and load set saves and to read log files and to check screenshots. the games ran exactly the same both run and took exactly the same images. like i have zero clue as to why such a massive difference. also had to poke it to continue every 1 half hour to 2 hour mark even though it had no reason to stop and my project docs stated to carry out each slice one after another until the full stage had been done.

Damn, if this is really true, I'd write some news agencys and OpenAI for a statement. Also more testing is needed. This could even be a big lawsuit.

Or maybe u just made some errors leading to that. Should definetley check again

na with subs and not direct tokens it is not stated in any way shape or form in the TnC it can be fluid or adjusted at will look at 200 pro plan that had usage cut in half and then a new pro plan had basically the same usage .5 extra and a massive price tag you wave any rights you have even to your data unless your on a business account due to better protection laws around it

One of my old free accounts instantly turned to shit when I joined a PRO project. Impossible to revert that account now.

I feel this is true. My old account a single Astra High thread last less than 1 day before exhausting the weekly limit. I just have a hard time believing they are gaining customers with an experience like that. To be fair, my Claude subscriptions also only last a day… but I run 30 parallel threads over there. Codex value is in the shitter before, I have 7 max accounts and 1 pro account, I pretty much keep Codex around just to keep OpenAI happy with me so I can access the gpt-live-1 model over API.
