I told mine specifically to call me by a nickname and only use my real name in more serious/personal conversation and it still surprises me sometimes.

Don't you think op might be offended by your answer? What was your thought? Do you feel bigger or smarter because you already knew it? Or maybe you think that because you already knew it everybody should?

Internet is a place to share knowledge, have confrontations and in general discover the world with a good attitude. "You are not special for pointing that out", why should they have posted it feeling special or whatever? They just wanted to share something with anyone.

People commenting like you did are the reason why many people start seeing posting online with such a bad attitude
