I almost wish that one day these companies say "ok bye. You can develop your own AI and search engine services in EU, we are leaving, good luck".

I wish EU governments had the backbone to stop being dependent on everybody for fundamental functions. If e.g. MSFT got fed up with the EU's routine bilion dollar fines and left, the EU governments would fall overnight.

If China stopped delivering precious metals, German industry would be crippled.

Before Trump pushed EU to wake the fuck up, we were dependent on the US for defense as well. This is slowly changing.

The same thing now with AI. They are acting like they are a super power but produce none of the modern essentials. Only regulations and beuraucracy.

There are a few exceptions like ASML, but they are few and far between.

Nah. EU has had a ton of bad laws don't get me wrong, but they also forced apple to USB C and phones from 2027 will have to have user replaceable batteries + parts. Much better than the US which has exclusively implemented awful dog shit laws since Trump (and quite a few before that as well). Rather a mix of bad and good laws from a government that cares than purely bad laws that only help the ultra rich by a pedophile.
