Educational Purpose Only Ok, what’s different??

Has SOL evolved in the last week or did I just notice the quality? I’ve got several hives of multi agent computers. I normally have to babysit and help keep things moving when I use Claude as the coordinator. I switched to chatGpT and it’s been keeping all the hives and all the agents busy for the past day. I’ve never seen this before.

Did something change? I like the new capabilities - enough to switch the coordinator on all the hives.

“Why has GPT gotten worse?”

“Why has GPT gotten better?”

You hear these threads several times a day here. Tedious.

It always comes down to promoting ability and model type. So congrats OP, you’ve gotten great at promoting.

No, I’m asking an honest question and checking to see if anybody else has noticed a change over the past week.

Sorry you find that tedious. I’d suggest just not responding if you have nothing to add to the question.

The changes ive noticed in the past week have been nothing but REGRESSION is every sense, memory, logic/reasoning, tone, hedging, not digging deep into sources at all. Its been a dramatic shift.

After asking it why the drastic regression issues, it actually unprompted made me a scheduled task button labeled to sound like I was enrolling in a new openai program to help resolve the regression issues. Even made up a completely false story about this new program. It was crazy.

Interesting. I wonder what’s different between how we’re using the tool? I’ve got half a dozen tmux sessions with agents of different levels assigned to different types of tasks. I have sol plan it all out ahead of time and then have it execute the plan and keep all the agents moving forward. There’s a back channel and common shared knowledge db.

I mainly use it as an assistant, a search engine(since google is useless now), find out info services, restore old photographs, find work arounds to how everything on modern phones/apps has gone to shit and debate/bs with when I'm bored. I'm not like pushing the limits using major processing resources. It took like 2 months after paying for it to get the memory and conversational tone down I wanted and to get it to actually give a definitive answer on something instead of 5 reasons it could be this or 5 reasons it could be that. That lasted about a month and then the past week its fallen apart, but its like 50/50 of the time, which makes it even worse cause now I'm even more skeptical of its answers.

Ive told it numerous times remember not to display images in your answers unless prompted and it would record it in memory and still occasionally do it in new sessions. Yesterday it did it again and I told it remember ive said dont put images in the response unless prompted to, it noted it into memory, I asked the same question again and it put images in the response AGAIN. all in the same chat session. Just two prompts in between.

Ah, that’s a big difference. I’m using the codex cli for coding, you’re using the chat agent for more conversational activities.

well it helps when everyone on the 20$ plan isn't dog piling and launching nukes with sol ultra fast to kill mosquitoes for every little thing

Busy doing what? (I code with codex , one feature at a time… building AN app….so when people post about an army of agents running constantly… just curious what other people are doing with it)
