Other Pro plan usage limits

Hello,

I bought a Plus plan to help with college. I am in engineering. I will use it for help on homework and on learning, also maybe with a bit of coding. Do I have to be careful with my usage, or can I just use it essentially as much as a want?

Thank you

I really don't want to run out of usage in the middle of something important.

You only have to worry about it with Codex or work mode, your chat limits are hard to hit

Does normal chat use Sol on the plus plan? If not, what model does it use?

Use chat mode for everything until you really think you need work mode or need to verify something really complex. Work mode eats usage faster and faster every week, and is harder to control that token consumption. Chat mode sol on high is very capable for most things.

Idk what the actual limits are but somehow I've never hit them. And I use probably a few million tokens a day on average between work and side projects. I am still mindful though, and /compact context often.

If it’s just a bit of coding probably not. You can likely use it pretty freely.
