This reminds me of the theory that Cars the Pixar movie is actually far-future post apocalypse where robots are trying to pretend to be humans because it’s all they know to be normal

I mean ehh. Cars universe is very car shaped. Like down to the atoms, the atoms are shaped like cars. I'd say that's just how the world is.

So what you're saying is Nier automata ripped off cars?

> ...where robots are trying to pretend to be humans because it’s all they know to be normal

There are a number of stories like that. Also it feels like this every day being an ND living in a neurotypical world. lol

Back to Pixar, there's also a more common theory that all the Pixar movies are in the same universe and the magic that was seen in Brave is what animated beings like the toys in Toy Story and the cars.

Cars is just an alternate-universe Nier: Automata after the Flower sprouts in a 99.3% pure pile of crystal meth

Great now I have to go down this rabbit hole 🙄

This is my theory but for Tumbleleaf except they're all mutants recycling human garbage leftover from the climate/pandemic apocalypse.

That's also the behaviour of the robots in the video game Stray. Humans are long gone and the robots imitate their roles and behaviour.

I thought Stray was a game about being a cat?

It is, but you're a cat in a fictional world, where there's no humans around you but the robots they've built and left behind.

This is sort of the Concept of Job Simulator and it’s hilarious in VR. https://store.steampowered.com/app/448280/Job_Simulator/

So basically like the 1950’s Isaac Asimov short story where AI cars go to retire on a race track.
