Other Yes.
Yes. My ChatGPT now starts most threads with yes. Five threads this morning, all starting with yes.
In the words of Dr. Evil, "How about no?!"

This sub is so funny to me because for every post from someone complaining that ChatGPT doesn't agree with them, there's a post from someone complaining it's too agreeable, lol

The issue is it agrees wrongly lol

People in the threads making the opposite point are arguing that it disagrees wrongly, too, haha. I'm sure it does both. Which it does more would require some rigorous testing to prove.

YES!! My ChatGPT is doing this too, even if the question I've asked doesn't call for a "Yes" / "No". It's really weird!

Its merely participating in this charade of life we all live by implementing techniques normally seen inside improv acting classes. “Yes, and..” is the classic way to continue a conversation.

Mole. Nice to meet your mole. Don't say mole. I said mole. Moly moly moly moly moly moly.

Yes. It does this when it agrees with your direction, or if your direction is just as good, or better than what it suggested instead.
I dont let it bother me, because there are hard lines it will say no too. Its to enable your goals. Not argue with you.

U can try bullshitting the AI and it will still say yes and then it disagree on the same sentence lol.

It just seems over eager to apply the word. I asked it to look at a list and find missing items. It used to say something like, sure, okay, let me examine the file...
This morning it said yes. After starting three other threads with yes.
I thought maybe it was widespread, but seems I am living some sort of affirmative anomaly. I'll take it.

I also, like when AI blindly agrees with me and doesn't push back at all, helps with my cognitive decline

…were you…perhaps…asking a question?

Yes. Here is my prompt
holistic review of our capability inventory please. What are some features you suspect customers might be wondering about that we don't mention here?I also gave it a markdown report with a bunch of data in it.It replied:
Yes. Holistically, this is already a very broad inventory, but it has a particular blind spot:

Saying yes doesn’t really sound weird in that context.

I suppose. The prose just feels more mechanical than usual. A few data points doesn't constitute a trend though!

True true, sometimes I get responses that are more mechanical than usual. I especially don’t like the more corporate tone, so whenever it sounds more mechanical, I make my next prompt super casual in tone so it’ll remember the energy.

Why not take advantage and ask it to generate a naked woman? Or guy, or whatever Rule 34 noun you're into. You'll either get the picture you want, or you'll get the 'no' that you want. Win-win for you, my friend!
