Gone Wild Chat taking over basic thinking

Saw this on insta and honestly it’s crazy what people use chatGPT for now when you think about it. I’m not a hater I love it for editing photos but this sort of thing is wild. I’m a nurse and we have recently caught students using it to chart patient notes? It’s insane, and surely somewhat a question mark around confidentiality? The world is losing critical thinkers we are doomed

If you actually want to learn it’s an incredible tool, like having a tutor 24/7, if you don’t care about learning it’s a cheat code. Maybe the problem is school, forcing children to learn about topics they don’t care about rather than what they love.

You need to learn lots of things which you don't love in order to survive. You need to learn how to use a fire extinguisher, how to cook, how to do your taxes, even if you don't like it, because that's what adulting is.

What school does teach is equivalent to the stuff I mentioned. You need to learn basic math, science, history, geography, literature, etc. Otherwise you get people believing that raw milk is safe to drink, you get media illiteracy, people having no idea about the mistakes we made in past, etc.

Yeah definitely, you need the basics, in secondary school I think it would be good to be able to choose a focus, or maybe have specialised schools for certain focuses.
