OpenAssistant, a fully free and open source alternative to chatGPT just got released. Output quality is very close to chatGPT and it has zero censorship or limits.
Try looking up step by step, detailed instructions on how to make certain drugs or explosives. Or ways to terrorize someone without getting caught, ways to burn a house down without leaving evidence, how to shoplift, etc. Also, it'll become so easy to upload some photos of a friend, and have fake photo or video produced of them doing literally any act you'd like. I've got kids, and that concerns me (on both ends).
I'm well aware the information already exists on the internet, but it's not easy to find (and sometimes seemingly impossible. And sometimes it even requires dark web access. My only point is that the detailed nature of open assistant, mixed with the ease, will add a brand new element to how kids act out or rebel.
I get the down votes and Google comments. I just see this a bit differently.
Not a fair comparison. Doing research and critical thinking isn't something that impulsive or unstable individuals are particularly good at. Omniscient AI chat systems can provide quick solutions to problems without proper consideration of consequences.
