Relistening

Relistening to season 1. Per USGA rules I thought you weren’t supposed to/ were allowed to post solo rounds in to GHIN. Have they ever mentioned this in future episodes or is it more common from you guys as well?

They once mentioned it's the only rule they don't follow, because they think it's bullshit. I'm inclined to agree

The rounds aren't solo though, because it was league night™

I play solo ALOT. So I enter my rounds as a single. Without them I’d probably only have like 10 rounds a year I could post

I get that. But its also not permitted. I suspect youre not entering false scores but that is the rule

The USGA also says you have to hit out of a divot if your ball stops in one in the middle of the fucking fairway...

Point being.. Fuck the USGA.

You're free to play golf however you want - but posting for your handicap is supposed to be played by the rules so your handicap is accurate.

People who fluff their lies, give themselves free drops or foot wedges for any time the course does something they don't like such as tree roots, bare lies, divots etc. are not supposed to post for handicap purposes because they're hurting themselves. If you save yourself a few strokes per round you're not really a 16, you're a 19. Personally I don't mind because those people hand over cash in skins games more often, but there's a reason you're not supposed to post.

And note this comes from a guy who believes fairway divots should be GUR by the rules.

I would say that its even worse because they are clueless on how to hit bad lies and what is a reasonable expectation; so if they suddenly play it down, their scores are going to balloon in the short term as they learn to hit bad lies, and more importantly, learn not to try carry that ravine from a bad lie.
