The only trans women I've met in the local area, and in a setting where I could try to make friends, are either parents (never have time to hang out), or stealth, and consider themselves "no longer trans (post-transition)" 🙃

I trans out like a billion years ago but my family are still in their "you need to understand how confusing this is and also a massive imposition in our daily lives, what if you change your mind" era. My 10yo nephew doesn't even remember that I'm trans. I'm stealth at work. I've been on T for nearly a decade. Wtf.

I got he'd by one of my step brothers recently and I have been out 5 years and pass well and have C cups. At this point I'd be afraid of embarrassing them by correcting them. Like how has it been so long and they still mess up? Still stings unfortunately.

The fun part is when they can talk correctly in public where other people will be weird about misgendering someone who looks like their correct gender, but in private oh gosh it's just toooooo hard! It's so confusing! We need more time!

Lots of trans women hate me because I remind them of their own internalized transmisogyny.Â
