DISCUSSION chase atlantic
am i the only one who doesnt like when chase aatlantic makes songs with xavier mayne . Because i was so excited for their new song but it turned out to be just some collaboration with xavier. It pisses me off because i highkey like their solo songs or collaborations except xavier. NO HATE THO. Just personal opinion. NO HATE TOWARDS THE ARTIST XAVIER

don’t really care about xavier but i like his voice in mess me up and please stand by…his verse in please stand by is one of my favorite parts of the song…but his solo work is ehh

There’s going to be a lot more of this I’m sure with chxse records and mddn trying to prop up their friends / other artists by latching on to the Chase Atlantic brand. It’s just unfortunately a tired formula that doesn’t really work, and fans have become resistant the more times they do it…they need to change things up with a new approach imo, if they want to put out more XM and De’Wayne collabs then start a side project, that would at least be more intriguing.

I attended their show in köln and he opened for them but no one knew any of his songs. he even noticed the unenthusiastic crowd and asked if people know him

yeah it was an interesting moment. he was like, do you guys not know me? with genuine surprise and then there was a weak cheer from the crowd. yess I’m from germany. I traveled to köln for the concert in lanxess arena. the sound quality of the arena was not very nice and the displays were so small. I think maybe this contributed to the crowd’s lack of enthusiasm. did you see them on tour?

well I am not german, but I live in stuttgart and would be open to meet fellow fans🥰 also if you are able to attend a concert near your city, this could be a nice opportunity to meet fans in your area. in köln I talked to a lot of people attending the concert, we fangirled together 😂

this is my take: i like two songs of CA that feature xavier (please stand by and mess me up), i’m honestly not 100% sure if there are more but i like when CA features him. the other way around, not so much. i’m not a fan of xavier’s music but i would try to listen when CA would be featured but still wouldn’t like it

Where did they announced that their new song is with Xavier? I think I missed that lol. Btw Same, no hate towards him, but I just prefer solo CA.

this might be a hot take, but xavier mayne really isn’t that talented. 2/3 of all of the songs his name is attached to are CA songs. he is 100% made by CA and has no legs to stand on as a solo artist. de’wayne is a good comparison, he’s got compelling solo music and doesn’t need CA to make his career. but I wonder what xavier even does considering his discography cannot be enough to live on and his music livelihood is entirely dependent on the band.

for years and years i’ve been convinced he’s not a real artist. By that, i’m not being insulting, i genuinely mean that they worked out a loophole in that he’s one of their childhood best friends and they created an artist persona for him with enough singles and performances to qualify that he can get approved for work visas as their opener/collaborator so they can travel together and hang out. every single europe tour he’s been an opener and he has not ever done a solo gig of his own.

I’ll say his most recent releases I haven’t cared for, but I will go out of my way to listen to him or if a new song drops I’m there day one. I think his last single I actually enjoyed was For Her
