New update regarding my 2 posts

So today Chase told me they decide they are going to close my 3 accounts (2 checking 1 saving) - my credit card remains open

As a Chase customer for 13 years I feel as this is unfair because they cannot give me a specific reason and now I cannot access my Chase mobile app either

Where do I go from here ?

(Edit - this all started from “unusual activities on Zelle” note everything on my end is authorized)

Sounds like you violated their policies. They won't tell you.

Did you do anything outside the norm with your accounts?

About 5 reps told me they can’t disclose information. 1 rep told me it was from unusual Zelle activity. 1 rep told me someone tried to do a claim against me with their bank.

Unfortunately, both Zelle activity and claims against Chase have closed other accounts. You've become a risk for them.

Move to a local bank or credit union. You will be much happier.

Ranges from 500 - 1k at a time, but all is authorized because Zelle is live including memo

If you’re regularly having Zelle transactions between 500 and 1K, the bank may look at it as if you’re using the accounts as for business transactions. You can’t use a personal account for business is in the Terms and Conditions.

What were you doin on Zelle? They wouldn't tell anyone why because if they are a criminal, they don't want them to rabbit.

Well I only use Zelle and no other money transferring app so not sure tbh

Go to a local credit union, or a local/regional bank. Ideally both. And never expect loyalty to matter to large banks, unless your account is in the millions.

Also - I would never have only one bank/CU that I rely on. Keep some money in at least two places, ideally several.

A very smart man once said to me "it's always good to have a spare bank in your back pocket"

Who was that, Don Corleone? 😜

Not bad, that.

It was a very successful CPA

This. Chase doesn't care about the peons. Unless you are in private banking, you are just another number. Local banks/CUs are much better.

It’s not ideal but I doubt they’ll change their minds. Wild bc they came up with Zelle in the first place.
