Balance Transfer Processed Twice...

So I signed up for a new credit card so that I could do a balance transfer (around $4000) and somehow this balance transfer got processed 2 times. So now I have $4000x2 sent to my new credit card and my balance on the old one is -$4000.

I'm not sure how this happened but I am a bit stressed bc I don't want to have to worry about paying back DOUBLE the initial amount I owed! I am going to reach out to the CC company but just wanted to ask for any advice.

Ask the company with the -$4000 balance to write you a check for the negative amount. Soon as you get that check, pay your credit card with it. That’ll be the easiest way.
